they are great addition to kitchen runners and great at absorbing oils but yeah once the lifespan is done, we may need to change it every 4-6 months, and our cats seems to love these mats by the entrance doors and their litter boxes as they uses it to maintain their nails.

Mi son sempre chiesto se i quintali di scarto di questo frutto dove andavano a finire ora mi viene in mente che oltre a quello che vedo nel video ci fanno una specie di moquette da appoggiare sui pavimenti nella case lussuose , nelle riattazioni anni 80 era sempre presente , funge da isolante , e’ naturale ed è bella da vedere , ha solo un difetto , avendo delle piccole cavità ci si ferma lo sporco e allora ogni giorno … aspirapolvere 😅🤓

The paper on the door suggests Vietnam for the weaving part. Signs on the store in the middle part is Philippines. I don't recognize the language on the third quarter with the peeler machine. The last part is maybe Indonesian.

3:59 they use syntetic rope to set the tension for a reason: coconut rope is not strong enough to be used on ships. That’s why they use it in mats.

@@noeraldinkabam in sealing cocounut fibers are used with ecoresin, something like fiberglass is made. This sistem is used nowadays for surf boards too.

Those were some heavy duty mats made at the beginning. Fishermen I watch regularly refer to coconuts as 'God's Nuts'. I find it hard to disagree. Along with bamboo, another of our God's creations that has so many uses and both seem invisible to us in the Western world. Lovely video.

I saw somewhere that cellulose based fibers have more resistance to sunlight than man-made fibers. Of course, they will rot but maybe they can be treated with something organic to help that.
