Thanks, Logan. Definitely agree it should have the 3.5 port in the back, but it should have at least one USB C in the front. Glad to see a full SD card slot built in somewhere

Seems like a decent mini PC. I'd like to see all of the mini PCs you've reviewed stacked on top of each other to make a mini PC tower.

When talking about Intel processors, it would be helpful to specify exactly how many P cores versus E cores when talking about the initial core count. I realize this isn’t as marketing friendly. Great video.

I'm guessing that the reason the fans go crazy with Blood Omen or other old games is that you are running them with uncapped framerates? I would check with an FPS counter to see if that's the case. You can stress a CPU to 100% in practically anything if it doesn't cap framerate, unless it's bottlenecking somewhere else.

I think you have a nice use case for classic games and emulation plus this can easily be used as a tiny server to self host well, a bunch of stuff. But honestly the gamer in me wishes this was at least a Ryzen 7640u chip if not a 7840u so it could actually be somewhat viable for some modern games: Even intel newer graphics are way faster now but I still don't trust their drivers at all. But as I said, in your use cases this should be just fine

This computer looks like it would make for a great emulation machine. You're living over in Japan, right? Can you do a video on Emulation scene in Japan? I want to move over there but don't want to lose my collection of roms/emulators and my digital media collection.

@@Manettvibrante Unlike in the states, I heard that emulation is illegal in Japan along with DVD ripping for something like PLEX. Unsure if this is true but it's what I have heard.

@@TechCarnivore1 I've heard similar things. Apparently, copyright law is very different over there. One of the reasons Nintendo is so aggressive about defending their copyright is that apparently, if they don't defend it like that, they lose it, so ripping your own backup copies being illegal wouldn't at all surprise me.

I'm not there yet... it's harder than I thought to get in... might end up in Taiwan first. So, there's a lot of fear around this... I'm not a lawyer and I'm just relaying my research as I understand it. Japan has some insane laws that were supposed to be "anti-unfair competition," and, "anti-cheating," however... the laws are worded so poorly that it makes it sound like it's illegal to emulate. So, it's illegal to modify save files and consoles... but it seems this only applies if you are selling console modding services or selling modified save games. You can rip your own games, movies, music, etc. Plex is fine. You are probably find doing whatever you want so long as you aren't selling the services. It's also illegal to sell game keys unless authorized by the publisher... no idea how g2a operates there. It is a criminal offense to download/pirate stuff. However, for stuff that is copyrighted outside of japan, the content owner will have to go through a huge process to sue/file a complaint... Content from japan... well, the content owner has to file a simple complaint. I have never heard of an individual being prosecuted for this, but I haven't spent a ton of time looking into it. I do see torrent sites and piracy sites getting in trouble. I'd use a vpn for sure... and I'd emulate and mod my own consoles all day... and I'll run my jellyfin/plex server.

@@teksyndicate Thank you for this comment, it made my day. Taiwan looks nice but it just wouldn't be the same, don't settle. Japan is one of the hardest modern countries in the world to permanently immigrate to, even more difficult than the US or China. Bar marrying a national, it's quite difficult to get permanent residency. I have been preparing for years. Thank you for the additional tech/legal information! This is the part of the plan I am sorely lacking. I was thinking it would be best to AES-256 zip everything up and put it in the cloud, forensically wipe NAS/tech of shows and emulators/roms, acquire Starlink (works in Japan), and then just re-download slowly once in country through VPN. I am inclined to agree with your assumption, as long as you don't share anything then you should be fine, hopefully..

There or Taiwan as soon as I figure out how to get in without having to teach English. It's harder than I thought, but there are some new rules this year.

@@teksyndicate Do what I did, go there to study their language on an education visa. If you're planning to "live" there long term, learning the language can only serve you well so it's a win/win. IMHO If you can't be bothered to learn the language of a foreign country you want to live in, you should rather stay home.

Everyone isn't a gamer nor video editor. Also, battery life is irrelevant for a mini-PC in a desktop setup in the USA. For laptops, you have a valid point.

The way this mini pc is priced seems like it is in no man's land. 800 will get you a laptop that can play modern 1080p games on high settings. If you wanted a server couldn't you just build mini tower for less? It would take up more space but better performance. No hating on the product but it doesn't seem like a good buy at the current price point.

😂😂😂😂 you can't be serious buying into INTEL's marketing bullshit by stating that this chipset has efficiency cores. INTEL's efficiency cores are still bloated and under-performant compared to Ryzen
