Thanks for this video! I went ahead and ordered a whiteboard on Amazon. Love the suggestion of having the client give us a tour of his or her home. Doing my first teletherapy session today with a child and I feel more prepared after watching this video.

hey! thanks so much for this wonderful resource. I just wanted to provide some feedback around the game 'hang man'. I've moved to calling it Build a Man (or Build a Human) because of the obvious issues around the name of the game.

kate odgers , yes, thank you and I did realize it after I made the video. Beth Richey does build a house which I really like. Many of my kids have come in and introduced hangman to me and it’s the first thing that came to my mind but I 100% agree that other alternatives are recommended.

Have you ever used Steven Universe episodes in sessions? They're 10-11 minutes long each and do such an AMAZING job of demonstrating empathy, healthy masculinity, peer pressure, video game addictions, etc.

Thank you so much for all these resources! I've heard that therapists can screen share and play digital versions of traditional card games which may be useful (i.e. Uno for talking about feelings). Just a thought.

Good question!, I now use Build a House instead of Hangman. I may ask something they do to calm down (coping skills), something that triggers them, a positive quality they have, etc.....

Hi, Nelly, it is up to you and the child. Many of my clients have a special folder that they keep everything in.
