Tele-Play Therapy Day Three: Working with Young Children/Head, Shoulders, Knees, & Toes

When working with little ones, we need to engage them in sensory play and help them regulate their little nervous systems. How do we do this in telehealth? Here are some ideas incorporating Theraplay activities, engagement, regulation, music and body awareness activities through bibliotherapy. I love the book "Listening to My Body : A Guide to Helping Kids Understand the Connection Between Their Sensations (What the Heck Are Those?) and Feelings So That They Can Get Better at Figuring Out What They Need," by Gabi Garcia. This is the perfect book to do with kids and they activities are awesome. Telehealth does not mean we have to sit still.
