It’s not just ‘in the eyes of the left’. Reform *is* objectively far right. In its extreme rhetoric. In it’s populist, highly binary simplistic philosophy and policy platform. In its rabid race based identity politics, it’s explicit and implicit jingoism and extreme nationalism. Reform is, ultimately, supported by the far right fringe within the Conservative Party and also British fascists.

Opinion polls in 1968 indicated that about 80% of the general public agreed with Enoch Powell. It was the treacherous Tory 'wets' under Ted Heath who expelled him... then four years later they sold out the UK to the EEC by lying that it was just a 'common market'. P.S. In 1993, Enoch Powell formally endorsed UKIP.

I have a feeling Nigel Farage represents the true values of the Conservative Right, and George Galloway represents the true values of the Labour Left. Interesting that they are both great orators and great characters. Whoever the vapid and bland Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak actually serve, it's never going to be The British People. They both exist as strawmen. They really are the David Brents of UK Politics. Cringeworthy and mediocre to the very end
