This show, the premise, the actors, goddamn it was just so fucking good. Still saddens me we never got a second season. I rewatch the trailer every now and then, just because of how it makes me feel. This show was beautiful.

Saw the first episode. Amazing. Really a phenomenal show. BUT I would say that if I had to choose which reality is real, I would choose the one with his son in it. I found that part of the story the MOST interesting and compelling. I found myself teary-eyed when his son breaks down in one scene in particular. I really hope the son's not the one who died! I love the father-son dynamic the most.

Wow I don't think I have ever seen a better trailer for a tv show. You can tell from 4 minutes that this show will have great writing, beautiful directing, a sublime sense for music and a perfect lead. It's original, heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm so hyped and looking forward to this I can only be dissapointed. But the trailer had such an impact I know I won't be.

seriously think this would make a great mini-series instead of a tv series. With tv series you don't know when it'll end, and the plot of the story has to come full circle in order for the whole thing to work. With the concept for awake, one I absolutely love, it feels better if it was a mini-series with carefully timed progression and a set ending. I feel that'll make a greater impact, and if it was me, the big reveal at the end is that he's in a coma, and his wife and son are alive next to him

The twist is that he is an alien, his wife is a vampire and his son is a werewolf. His son can only be there when he's not a werewolf (which is every other day because he's a super werewolf) and his wife can only be there when she's not feasting on the blood of the innocent. He doesn't know what is going on because every night he is beamed back to mothership and is probed for information by his alien scientist overlord because he is also captive. They fuck with his head so he forgets.
