My mother had 2 types of muscular dystrophy, she was never supposed to be able to Cary a child. She had 3. While our homelife wasn't "normal" and we did have to care for our mother, I never felt like I was lacking anything. She was the best,sweetest most caring person. Bottom line,her disability didn't hinder her from being a parent, a mother and a constant being for her children.

So one point I will say is that disabled or not CPS can get involved and remove a child when domestic partnerships pose a risk to the child. So the father relapsing and being considered a primary caregiver would potentially warrant removal or allocation of parental responsibility.

@@kristinbinkley18 Since when? My childhood best friends mother worked for CPS when we were growing up. Still does as far as I’m aware. I asked her when I saw this video after I’d commented if they’re allowed to go to families homes at that time and during a weekend and she told me that they can make emergency visits on Saturdays & Sunday’s, but not after 6pm and if it’s emergent enough and after 6pm, they send the police. Maybe it’s different in each state?

If it’s not serious enough to require the police as well, they’ll typically wait until the next business day. At least that’s how it works where I live. Not sure what state this family lives in. Either way though, the stories she spews never add up. She’s known to make shit up for clout and had become especially bold with her lies and stories since they had their child.

Before you use the disabled word, I am disabled, so don't use that word. I have no left leg and the other leg I have 30 plus surgeries to keep it longer . I have had 3 heart surgeries. I will more than likely not live another 5 years . With sma like she has, you can tell in the last couple years, her disease is getting worse. She does less and less. So she can't do what her daughter needs. Now if she hires someone to help, that's awesome, but letting them do it all ? When they are changing diapers , go with them, talk to the baby like you are doing it. The baby needs tummy time , or putting her down to play, make a set up where you can lay down or even sit next to her. I know someone that has sma and he has it worse than you do, so we know you can do this ! Whatever you can't do, be there with the one that does it. Otherwise don't have a child. You probably will not be around most of her teen years and up, that's not fair to put her in this situation because you wanted to have a sex game and no contraceptive. Grow up Jesus . My hubby wanted a baby, and yeah we could have had one . However the way my life was going , I knew that I would not make it through the pregnancy hardly . So why do it ? So before you feel so sorry for a single disabled mother ? She does things that come down on her and again, the baby !

Also, they often will give names. Maybe not to the parent but to other people being asked for information about the case. I'm a mandated reporter and have been involved with tons of these. I just had a situation the other day where my supervisor was told the name of someone who made the report because the case worker investigating wanted to know if that person was really informed well enough to be making claims.

Hi Alex, the report you showed us is dated 03/14. Which means DCFS was first called on your family 5 days after Ari’s birth, while she was still in NICU. You took Ari home on 04/01, 18 days *after* your family was first reported. While the other reports could be trolls, this one is clearly from a mandated reporter within the hospital.

Yes, that is right. The second person that came was a day after we brought her home. Sorry, it’s still hard to talk about / remember exact timeline bc I’ve tried to block it out. I remember thinking it was a nicu nurse // the first report. But the DCFS employee say in the report, it stated noah was “off the addy” aka adderall which obviously wouldn’t be a nurse or doctor.

Coming from a very recent cps worker…no need to ever hire a lawyer unless criminal child abuse charges are filed..to be filed you must be found of abuse/neglect on a cps level and criminal level first. Aka…cps would have done their investigation and found that abuse did in fact occur…not just looking into a complaint and closing it. It does no go in front of a judge/courts unless the concern/report was found to be legitimate. I will also guarantee that it would not be your disability on its own to bring about the concern but more likely the mentioned drug use and decision making on your behalf…aka did they consider you a protective parent? 15K is an insane amount of money spent for consulting..I suspect there is much more to this story than you are sharing which by the way I do not fault you for. It all comes with the territory I suppose when you chose to share your life on the internet

Not her disability alone. If she was the only caretaker I think we can all agree she would not be capable of physically and independently caring for a newborn baby since she cannot physically care for herself and requires a caretaker.

Have you considered the fact you neglected to get medical care for 16 weeks despite having a high risk pregnancy the cause of an investigation? Or a Vape in the nicu? Or clubbing while your baby was in the nicu? Have you foundered it’s because doctors were told Noah missed Ari’s birth for rehab but he was drinking in the club with you a week after Ari’s birth? There’s literally a thousand reasons how you caused this and you still refuse to take responsibility. I don’t believe trolls called. They don’t tell you who called. I believe the medical professionals who cared for Ari and you called because they had caused to concern. A severely disabled woman and an addict who’s not in recovery is not a winning combination for parents. It would be different if Noah is in recovery but he’s not and you encourage him to drink and use.

I am furious about what you are saying! This is not happening just because you are disabled. You are unable to care for your daughter on your own. Your carers change often because you are hard to get on with and treat them like garbage. Your carer’s job is not to care for your baby. You knew your drug addicted, younger partner for a very short time when you ‘accidentally’ fell pregnant. He was in rehab when you gave birth. He was expected to care for the both of you by himself when he couldn’t even care for himself. You both fought, alerting neighbours. You posted videos of Ari ‘enjoying’ being tickled when she clearly did not. You have shared all of these things on social media. You have brought all of this onto yourself. Ari’s well-being is of utmost importance.

My best friend is a lawyer who represents parents who are under investigation by CPS. Unfortunately, there is pervasive bias that people with disabilities are not fit to parent and it is horrifying. There have been instances where there have been multiple parenting capacity reports demonstrating that a parent is perfectly capable of parenting, and yet CPS has still tried to remove the child. My friend actually testified at a large inquiry into it and helped make some reforms to the laws. Sadly so many people seem to erroneously believe that a disability prevents a person from parenting effectively. By being in the public eye and pushing back on this narrative - no matter how exhausting it must be - you are helping to change stereotypes and attitudes to hopefully make things easier for those who come after you. @@donnahj76 I don't know what you mean by your comment. There are plenty of cases where removal is justified and my friend's advice is to consent to the removal and work toward reunification. But these aren't where the parent has a disability. This is where people seem to be wildly misinformed by what justifies the removal of a child. We're talking about kids who have actually ingested their parents' drugs, kids who have been witness to repeated serious domestic violence, parents who suffer psychosis and believe their child is possessed, kids who have been beaten to the point of broken bones, kids who have repeatedly found their parents after suicide attempts, kids who aren't being fed or receiving medical care. The worst of the worst. Foster care is, generally speaking, not good for kids (HUGE shout out to the great foster parents out there who are truly angels - but not everyone is like that). The situation needs to be very, very bad to justify removing a child and foster care being a better option. Kids aren't removed because someone isn't a perfect parent, or even a good parent.

And of course CPS came to see you to make sure Ari is taken care of. Her father left rehab early right after she was born and her mom needs full time care and can't be alone and is dependent on a man with DV charges and several relapses. It's so weird to me how it never occurred to you that you would be checked up on in these circumstances.

Apparently people are unaware that the state of Florida mandates that ANY person who knows, or has reasonable cause to suspect, that a child is abused, neglected, or abandoned by a parent, legal custodian, caregiver, or other person responsible for the child's welfare shall immediately report the situation as a mandated reporter. In Florida if you see it, you are a mandated reporter and you should report it. You can be fined for not doing so.

Everything that you have and are able to offer your daughter as a mother is just as valid as any able-bodied mother. They ask that question because second moms say they were disappointed & didn’t want the baby at first etc. and they hate makes a big difference in their investigation especially with abused children. I’ve seen on some classes I did research about that its very common. Remember they deal with actual children in horrible situations and a lot of parents will lie to make themselves look better. That question is basically to help get a feel for the mom’s attitude about their child. So it’s not just you hun. Also I’ve been fallowing you from the beginning & I often tell your trolls off lol. I think you’re doing a great job! I adore you u, Ari & Noah. Even with if he’s not present right now. I’m also a recovering I. Heroin/ meth/coke/alcohol user. I used very long time and took me a long time to be able to stop. Lots of relapses, rehabs etc. but I still it in the work to professionally process the trauma and situations I used to use over and still do daily. I continue to try and grow. Unfortunately no human power can relieve our addiction. I’m only God and the addict themselves. We hurry a lot of people in active addiction including ourselves. When we get sober we have a lot of wreckage to clean up. But I can tell you we don’t intentionally hurt people. But you should always set your boundaries and protect yourself and daughter. You both deserve the world! Also remember when we put our lives on social media, it leaves your life open for this criticism. People are meaner than ever these days!! And with your fallowing it’s inevitable. Just try not to take it personally. I know it’s hard. And you don’t overcame the DCF situation just like you will overcome so much more! I have a friend who's had two children and she has limb-girdle muscular. She's a wonderful mother and has been able to raise her children with the help of her family. I have six children and one of my sons had bad behavioral issues as a child. This was 20 years ago before autism was commonly diagnosed but that’s what he has. He would have meltdowns in school and things of that nature and I had a school counselor call CPS on me more than once, insisting that we must be abusing him because there was no other explanation for his behavior it was absolutely traumatizing not only was I trying to navigate my sons behavioral issues. I was also having to deal with CPS now like you they never did anything but it was still scary. Scary gets. And the funny thing is is is I ended up getting my revenge because I was friends with a lot of the teachers at the school and she was at a party at a friends house I went to and she let her 16-year-old daughter, go to Vegas with a 3211 Central Ave wand up pregnant by the 32 year old man, so the second I got home the first thing I did that morning was call CPS right back on her on her allegations were found to be true and her daughter pregnant by a 32-year-old was removed from her care and she lost her job. I wish you could get satisfying revenge the same way I did although it’s very sad that her 16-year-old got pregnant by a 32-year-old man and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone but like I said she allowed it she allowed him to go to Vegas with her daughter at 16 years old and he was 32. She was also drunk as a skunk that night and I’ve never drank an ounce of alcohol or did a drug in my entire life, but I am so sorry that happened to you and unless it happens to you you never really understand how traumatizing it really is
