My nerves kick in and ive gone from 1-1000 in a second. I forget everything i wanted to say to best highlight my career and how that fits into the role , it almost feels like a chartoon character who was delfated like a ballon and zooms around the room then lands on the chair hoping no one saw what happened. I don't know how to be calm and comfortable with the situation

I am so sorry to hear that. Nerves can make you freeze and forget everything. One of the things that helps me is to visualise being calm before the interview, and visualise and feel what it feels like to have a great conversation/interview. Then my body reacts in a calm way. Watch the the structure Karen gives me to follow in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2iodWNpfrmEqtE Because it keeps your answer succinct and then the interviewer can pick up points to ask you from what you say. So you're not so long under the spotlight and the interview moves more into conversation mode. Also, do practice your answer to "tell me about yourself" put loud and as many times as you can. That way you will be more confident, and you're telling your brain that you are more confident. Some how this works!
