My coaches are in the military so they used the truth to somewhat "break us", that mental aspect through their connection and their will for us to be better made us a whole lot better wrestlers and human beings.

Sometimes people are not gifted with understanding martial arts or sports in general. Whenever new people come into the jujitsu gym after a few days you can basically tell whether or not they will ever become any decent. Sometimes you just didn’t start early enough or your brain can’t comprehend the dynamic movements that your body needs to do. I feel sometimes people hate giving criticism so they only tell people positive stuff but that’s not what’s going g to get people better. Sometimes you need to tell a person that they suck. 🤷🏼♂️

That wasn't the point of the video. The point was that every athlete needs to work on his weaknesses first. As for your claim that you can tell " Whenever new people come into the jujitsu gym after a few days you can basically tell whether or not they will ever become any decent" it's completely ridiculous. I am telling you this from personal experience.

My boy is a bit slow on his feet but is quite strong for a 9yr old. What kind of work should we focus on for foot speed?
