Hello Again...I finished making your beautiful soap today! I got confused during the measuring of the olive oil, I hope I made the right choice. When you were infusing the olive oil with the cucumber peel for colorant, you said to add 270 grams of olive oil to your pan & add your cucumber and heat on low for several hours. Then when you were putting all the oils together you said to use 240 grams, and then you were short 240 grams so you added 10 more grams. So, did some of the olive oil cook away during the infusing with the cucumber peel and that's why you went with 240 grams instead of the original 270? And were you short of the desired 240 grams so you brought it back up to 240, but you weren't adding 270 grams of olive oil to the soap? I hope it turns out, it was wonderful to make this recipe, and the smell is incredible. Thanks again for a wonderful recipe, I just need to have this clarified , if you don't mind taking additional time. Thanks ~
@tellervo. Жыл бұрын
Awesome🤗 i hope you'll like it! I used 270 g olive oil for the infusion and the soap recipe called for 240 g olive oil. I always make my infusions with extra oil since you can't get it all out because some of it gets stuck in the infusion material. This time i didn't use enough extra oil for the infusion so i had to add some non infused oil to the soap recipe to make up for the difference. Hope this makes sense!

Citric acid attaches to metal ions by detecting them, increasing the effectiveness of preservatives and antioxidants. This is useful in soap products. Because citric acid binds to metal ions in water, it prevents soap from rotting and creating waste, produces a better floor, and helps soap stay hydrated in water.
