After watching a lot of vid, how to change motor on tello, this is by far the quickest and easiest. But there are some hacks: 1. Very easy to pull thru the motorcables using another tiny wire or a piece if fishing line as a hook from the other direction 2. Removing the isolation is simplier using a lighter 3 if the cables come out from the leg a tiny bit of glue holds enough and invisible. This black tape is not so nice. Thanks for the vid! 👍

Use shrink wrap for a professional finish ok. I think this is the best video on doing this job. Thanks.

Hi - just an update: we got the motors and fixed the broken one yesterday. Only replaced the one motor (not the pair), but it worked fine per your splice technique. Just a couple of things to know if you're going to try this: - The wires are really, really tiny! A little tough to strip and twist together. I'd recommend leaving extra room on the new motors wires, just in case, before you pick a point to splice them - Also: feeding the 2 new wires through the hole at the base of the motors mount is also very tricky: the video makes it look easy, but we had to twist them together tights, and work the outside of the hole a little bit to make it slightly larger. - we wound up 'sealing' the splices with tiny pieces of electrical tape; not pretty, but once we wrapped everything up, just fine and the drone is flying once again ;) - One more thing: the 2 wires on the BACK of the rear legs are apparently not for the motors, but instead for aerial reception: leave hem alone. the two wires for the rear motors are stacked on top on each other in the channel int the front part of the leg Otherwise, it all worked, and for a few bucks we got the Tello working, plus it was a fun project to do with my daughter - all good, thanks and good luck!

Thank you for uploading this. So at least the tello is not realy made for repairing, they had thought of an better and easyer way to let users repair or replace motors.

just curious why you didn't twist inline and solder?
I did this and the replacement motor runs as soon as the battery goes in does anyone know why the motor is running by itself and how I can fix it

Very good. One question: Is it possible to connect the Tello camera to a sheet video transmitter? Intention: To do FPV with an OTG receiver. Thankful. I've seen the connection of a camera and an external transmitter, never the camera of the Tello to an external transmitter. It's possible?

Thank you for watching. I am sorry because I do not understand in detail about your question. Perhaps it is not possible to do it because the frequency band is different from the tello camera.

I'm new to this but have a Tello with one motor out: Can I replace just ONE motor, or does it have to be done in pairs or (all four)? If someone could let me know, I'd really appreciate it as I need to figure out which kit to order - thanks! Oh, and thanks for the Video!

Hi, i just change the motor of my Tello, it's ok to replace 1 motor only, but need to make sure the motor rotating direction is correct. There are 2 types of motor at Tello, CW(blue &black wire) and CCW(white &black wire) Btw this guide really help a lot, I don't have to open the cover and doing the soldering job.
