Back in 2004 I was 5 years old, and I was introduced to Doctor Who in a marathon promoting the revival that showed a story from Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker, Peter Davison and Colin Baker. So I'll always love the Fifth Doctor.

Great interview. The 5th Doctor is so underrated.

Yeah, he also seems a cool chap. Sincere but fun.

Underrated? By who? He was Fantastic the most energetic and multidimensional of the Early doctors, I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about him.

@@caleb7551 I didn't say he was underrated, I know what the word means. I don't think hes overhated either.

He speaks the truth on scariness. The now legendary cliffhanger to Earthshock part one I first experienced from under a table at the other end of the room - so intimidated had I been by the direction, the setting, or indeed Malcolm Clarke's music. I just recall seeing my mum (my brother on the floor) throwing her hands in the air and shouting 'The Cybermen!'

omg I just watched that episode and you are so right. I mean I am 18 and I didn't crawl under a table but it was very good

He was great as Campion also. Great Campion quote: "I blame talking pictures."
@alexlazebat8393 жыл бұрын
do you why campion stopped? because they are more books that could of been done
@barrywerdell26143 жыл бұрын
I do not, but I suspect it had to do with production and writing. If you view the first series and then the second you get the impression that they were trying to make Campion more comical and nerdy which in the books he was at the beginning.

He had a warm personality and that's why I liked him too. I just couldn't take to Colin Baker because his doctor seemed arrogant and the opposite of Peter Davison's doctor.

At age 9 Peter was my way into this show... like an older brother, which I had... and really what he says bears fruit simply because he followed a repeats compilation in 1981 that demonstrated, hard as it may be, there was more to the show than Tom Baker. And at that time it really was hard to believe....

Peter, Dr Tristan Farnum, and then the 5th Doctor. Of course being the father in law of the 10th Doctor!! Doctor Who now worldwide is as huge as Star Trek for fandom.
