In these 2 videos, I show my AR9 that had the bolt "reconditioned" and the barrel feedcone enhanced by Rudy at Macon Armory in Georgia. Earlier in the day I went out to test fire it, and was disappointed that it would only occasionally feed my duty Speer GoldDot G3 147 hollowpoints. The new buffer that Rudy sent me seems to have fixed the cycling issues it was having before. But...
my main reason for having the feedcone enhanced was for my AR9 pistol to be able to gobble up and spit out my duty ammo. Looks like this was not achieved with the work, unfortunately. So I made these 2 videos at home after getting back from test firing it out in the beautiful AZ desert.
On a good note, it appears to like ball ammunition. It seems to have reliably fed and cycled 115 grain 9mm round nose ammo. I will reach out to him later to see if there's anything else he could do, without compromising the integrity of the chamber, to get this barrel to reliably feed my duty 9mm hollowpoints. Looking at the feedramp on my Glock pistol, the angle of less steep than the angle on the feedcone of my AR9. I wonder if the angle at the bottom half of the feedcone can be decreased without compromising the integrity of the machine work already done to the feedcone.
