We had boats all my childhood. ALL my child good. I dont never remember my dad and uncle not helping a newbie or boat in distress. If a boat was broke down or something there would be enough men around to help that if need be they'd pick it up and carry it out. The first time I took my family out on my boat it broke down. I had my young son young daughter and wife with me. We paddled that boat a mile in a half back to the boat ramp and was passed by 20 or 30 boats. Not one single person stopped. Things have changed.

For the most part, the boating community is pretty helpful. Having stumbled across this channel and seeing how impatient people are and unwillingness to help or be helped, it's totally different in my community. However the common thing I've observed in my travels is the ability to back a trailer up and simple low speed boat maneuvering. The captain in the maroon boat needs to swallow his pride and ask for help and or simply communicate with others as they enter the marina. Being harsh and abrupt will only cause others to respond the same way and eventually tell you to bugger off.

This is why I keep my boat in a indoor rack. I call ahead, boat in the water and fueled. I come back, the marina staff take my boat out, hose it down, flush the engines and back in the rack. Yeah costs me a lot of money, but I dont have to deal with any of these boat ramp a-holes. The jetski'ers are inconsiderate a-holes and screw up the natural flow of the boat ramp.

Burgendy boat should have tried putting all the people in the back. Also there is a release on the side of the motor all you need is a flat head.

Poor guy with the Burgundy boat, Felt bad for him. The way that little Zodiac just snuck in there, like dude, give the limping boat a chance. Too funny that the same guy got dock blocked, again!

I would've stuck everyone in the back of the boat to help get the prop under water and gain control. Captain did great in that situation tho! Great video!

Mad respect for our "Teal Boat Captain" 💯👍👍👍👍👍 That there folks is a man with "Leadership" traits... he identified and educated the other guy on how things operate on the docks and then "fist bump" to show it wasn't personal or an anger situation. This will go a long way for the jet skier in the future so he can do things the right way. 👍👍👍

Not for nothing, but when you are blocked at the ramp when you've tied up and getting your truck, you don't necessarily have to go to that ramp. Your boat probably has a working motor and you can also move your boat. Just back your trailer down the first available ramp and drive your boat to it. I've done this many times. The docks at the ramp I use are much longer and you can dock 3 boats deep on them and still have room to launch a smaller boat (22 ft and under)

omg bring all the people on that boat to the back except for 1 person in front. It would help the prop get more water and he'd have a little more control
