Wifey jumps into action and pulls the jeep in the water with boat. Still attached to the trailer and reverse it instead of forward to hold it on the ramp

There HAS to be more to this story. He must have jumped out of that Jeep with is still in reverse or neutral. There is no way that it slid down to its roof level, especially once the boat became buoyant and wasn't a factor.
@therealthreadkilla3 жыл бұрын
Did you see the guy walking down the ramp before the pull out? Fell on his ass like he was walking on ice.
@dlloyd63003 жыл бұрын
@@therealthreadkilla I did, and I would get spinning tires but sliding back to the roofline makes no sense. Also I later found another channel that recorded the same incident from a better angle and you can see his wheels rolling backwards. I also think that the wife fired up the boat and put it in reverse while still connected to the teailer but not 100% it was in gear. Hard to tell.

@@dlloyd6300 you can see the wash from the engine, she put the boat in reverse which pulled the car further out, they realise the boat is still hooked to the trailer too late
@svechappe60753 жыл бұрын
@@MB-hq6yq Yup, Jeep was sliding and when she jumped in the boat and threw it in reverse with the boat still attached to the trailer by the winch. She basically pulled the Jeep the rest of the way into the water.

There really isn't that much more to the story other then the fact that wifey threw the boat in reverse while it was still attached to the trailer, thus pulling the jeep further into the water. 🤔

Wifey should have stayed on the dock. Looks like she pulled the Jeep and the trailer by popping it into reverse. Smooth move Ex-lax!
@DargoDog3 жыл бұрын
Wow... I have seen a lot of videos showing vehicles after they are already swamped, but this is the first I have seen where it happens. I am assuming that is salt water, in that case, the only thing really "saved" is the trailer, that Jeep is done.

@H..M..3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is how I saw it too. It looks like she is trying to help, but instead pulls the jeep in. You can see the motor is running, and it looks like she has it in reverse, but it is subtle. Given that the boat is fully cranked in, anything except forward is going to make it worse.
@charlieodom91073 жыл бұрын
Oh, she was definitely in reverse!!!!! You can see her slamming the throttle around in both directions!

Jeep was already in the salt water it was too late for the car even if she didn't mismatch forward and reverse i a panic
@1990Redline3 жыл бұрын
Nope, the boat engine wasn't even on at that time! She just tried starting it wich did not work! There is nothing indicating a running boat motor, you see that in the water pretty obvious if it runs.

Why didn’t he put the boat in forward thrust and kept the jeep from entering water ?
@MrGibsn19603 жыл бұрын
I always do that to help get the forward momentum going then throw it in neutral and kill it as it's coming out of the water. But we have 2x the towing capacity in our vehicle compared to the boat weight.

I’m wondering, are ramps ever power washed or sand blasted to get rid of the slippery slime?

They should be

Actually they do, apparently this ramp was recently pressure washed. It's still very slippery, honestly the moment he stepped off the brakes it was over. I got a new boat last year and had to get a new SUV to tow it. I did one trip in my old SUV and it felt dangerous. Some people don't realize that it shouldn't struggle that much to pull it. I saw the new GMC has autopilot with a trailer attached and I think a lot of these people at these ramps need something like that.
@malekodesouza72553 жыл бұрын
@@whataqtify what they need is a tow vehicle that has the capacity to pull what they are towing. These people didn’t.
@dlloyd63003 жыл бұрын
That crap can grow back in a matter of days. It's a fruitless effort. That's why most ramps are poured with some sort of heavy texture, like ribbing, to help with traction.
