Great video. I literally run this exact same board setup! White trio 28, with the IEC module, 4 jack patch-bay, and temple LED lights, and two pedal power units (a 2+ and an ISO5) Only difference is that I got the IEC splitter adapter so I power both voodoo lab units from the IEC directly, because I needed that auxiliary power jack on the back of the 2+ to power one more pedal.

Question, were you able to put pedals on top of where your pedal power is?If so, how? I have a pedal power plus 3 on the bottom of my board but it takes up too much space that i would like to use for more pedals.

That's an awesome board! Thanks for sharing. I plan to update my board soon... First time in years. I'll use some of these ideas!

@@gannett7 Oh definitely! I love the connectors on the side. Better than wearing out pedal connectors from constantly plugging and unplugging. I run one Pedal Power, but I'll likely do like you did and add another. And the biggest gem was finding that company that does the true-bypass looper strip. I think the only difference is I'll be adding a buffer at the beginning and another at the end of the chain. And mine would be a little smaller.

I love your rig and want to do something similar, but was wondering why you went with (2) VL Pedal Power 2 Plus units instead of something like a Walrus Audio Phoenix or CIOKS Ciokolate 13?
@gannett73 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike - well good question, I didn't initially think I was gonna have so many pedals on the trio 28 lol, plus the loop switcher and RGB led lights takes up 2 slots, so i just bought another one. Temple Audio makes an adaptor for the Pedal Power so its a real custom fit under the board www.templeaudio.com/page/install scroll to the bottom of the page , not sure if they make one for the cioks or walrus. I like the Cioks cause it looks thin and space is limited under the temple board, i like the phoenix cause it has a courtesy plug on the back like the VL that comes in handy, but it looks pretty thick to me not sure it will fit under the temple. Bottom line 2 VL pedal power 2's will cost you $358 the walrus is $279 and the cioks is $329, not a huge price diffrence. Hope this helps in your decision, and your gonna love the temple if you get one! -cheers

Very nice video. I have the Duo24 and really am digging it. I did run into some issues with the plates hold my Mission expression pedal. Like you I was using a large and medium plate to hold it, but it kept falling off. So I use the pedal off to the side. I also use the 4-Way Jack Patch Module for my guitar input, stereo outs, and expression pedal in, which connects to a Strymon Brigadier delay. I am looking at getting the Trio 28 because I want add a TIme Line and a Boss ES-8 controller and I need the extra real estate. Side note: I use George L's plugs they fit nicely through the oval openings. Second side note: I place the plate more towards the bottom of the pedal to avoid any rocking motion when I step on the pedal. Thanks again for the video. It was well done.

So far so good, been using it about a year now live, i'm very happy with it. I think you will enjoy it using your helix and associated pedals. I am going to add his to my board www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HXStomp--line-6-hx-stomp-guitar-multi-effects-floor-processor shortly alot of the helix stuff in a small foot print. The Helix is a pretty swet unit. Anyhow, i think you will really dig the trio 28, I also have this case www.templeaudio.com/shop/product/trio-28-fc-trio-28-flight-case-345?category=9 which I also like very much. Best wishes and - cheers

Did your Trio 28 come with the mounting bracket on the bottom (I believe it's standard). If so, why did you remove it and did you find it unnecessary? I have a Duo 24, which came with the bracket, and I'm using the same Voodoo Labs power supply that you are using. It won't fit under the mounting bracket and am considering pulling the bracket off. Just curious why you did on such a big board (when Temple Audio seemed to think it necessary). Any negative impact of not having it? Thanks.
@patrickgilbert14374 жыл бұрын
Hey Jeff - it did come with a mouning bracket, and like your the voodoo labs power supply it won't fit under the bracket on my 28, so i removed it and never looked back, seems unnessary anyhow no negative impact...my advice is to just get rid of the bracket -cheers

Whats the main advantage of using the looper? Is it just to have the pedals out of your signal chain if you aren't currently using them? Seems like a lot of cable and lead runs.
@gannett76 жыл бұрын
Hi John - it does make you signal chain much cleaner, a bunch of pedals can suck the tone out of your sound. Due to the true bypas features of this looper, all of my effect no longer affect my tone when the are not not in use. Another thing i like is if you have a lot of pedals and your board goes down it's much easier to isolate a bad cable or pedal. Or u can make a preset on one of the looper buttons, to a distortion an a delay or to a reverb an delay or whatever combination of pedals you might want for a prituclar sound you want access quickly. Cuts down of the tap dancing on your board. anyhow love mine chek them out www.loop-master.com/loop-pedal-switchers-c-22.html?osCsid=fqqod0fk68rhp1g6p96vu3dbm2 -good luck and cheers.

Once you get a looper, you can never go back to using pedals connector all together. I got a Boss ES-8. Best thing ever.

Cool demo!! Thanks! Quick questions: (1)Do the brackets for mounting the power plants come with the pedalboard? (2) do pedal mounting plates have the two sides glue attached to them or I need to buy them separetely? (3) which size did you use for tc hall of fame? Medium or small? Thanks!
@gannett77 жыл бұрын
Greetings - No the brackets for mounting the pedal power are purchased seperatly, for $16.95 here is the link templeboards.com/collections/accessories/products/voodoo-lab-mounting-bracket The plates come with the adhesive on one (1)side. I think you will find this video very helpful kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2qkq4KHmpmCgtE I used a medium plate to mount my Hall of Fame. I hope this is helpful, let me know if you need anything else -Cheers

@gannett76 жыл бұрын
Hi Caylor - Yeah I would, it's a very subtle pedal I've had one in on my pedal board for years and I have a rack one in my ableton looping rig, It just makes your sound come alive, fuller, thicker. Give it shot, I don't think you will be disapointed. Good luck and Cheers- Pat
