Jonathan Crane Well, they’d have to custom model that. The actual temple guard outfit is relatively easy for someone skilled to add a texture and some gloss, because it uses the pre-made Inquisitor outfit model. The mask would be harder to make.

He does, which is what makes him a compelling character. When you think about it, he and Cal want essentially the same thing: change. Both of them recognise that the Jedi brought Order 66 on themselves and that their hubris was their downfall. The difference is Malicos is clearly a little unstable and his view of the Jedi Order is tainted by his mental illness and his long-term stay on Dathomir, a planet with a deep connection to the Dark Side, not to mention the various tribes and wild animals that want to kill him. He blames the Jedi for his misfortune. Cal, meanwhile, has been all over the galaxy. He’s seen the Jedi at their best (Jaro Tapal and Eno Cordova), their worst (The fallen Jedi who became Inquisitors) and their most human (Cere Junda). In the end, he concludes that while the Jedi were far from perfect, they genuinely were trying to do the right thing and that they are the only hope of stopping the Empire. This is why he continues to identify himself as a Jedi Knight and yet refuses to use the holocron to recruit new Jedi. God I love this game. It’s nearly impossible to not love the protagonist and to not sympathise with the antagonists at the same time. Respawn really did just go and make one of the best Star Wars games ever made.

@@conorscott430 agreed. Although I feel he should've been as remorseful for him as for Cere's fallen apprentice. It's a shame that Cal didn't even try to find common ground with Malicos. Lot of people think the story is pointless, but I think the journey is important. Cal was traumatized and had a simplified vision of restoring the order through unrealistic means, as this was his lifeline. Only later did he learn that this isn't the way to go, and despite destroying the holocron, he grew as a person and a jedi.

PapaWill it matches with his fighting style. Jedi temple guards are force sensitives who don’t travel either the light or dark side of the force. They’re the middle ground, leading them to adapt their own styles of combat, some being calm and collected and others being wild and speratic, kind of like cals, it would reflect his lack of training but still showing his obvious knowledge of lightsaber combat

I liked this a lot! When the Inquisitor Cal outfit came out, I started with that and the red crystal and played an alternate story in my head that he was captured not long after Order 66, was training as a junior inquisitor, and escaped some time ago and was lost, trying to survive. And as he worked through his quests trying to redeem himself and learn his way back, he started to really shift. It worked well when the mirror scene came, as if he was the one who led the children to capture and torture and saw his past crimes. And then when he had his lightsaber crushed by his master, he had to find redemption and seek his new crystal, that was his final move back to the light side of the force, and even though he wore the inquisitor outfit, his crystal changed to green to reflect his redeemed spirit. Oddly, at games end after the final win, when the story went on, Cal had changed into his old clothes again. It seemed as if he had truly, finally found his way back. It all played in my head. But that was an unexpectedly powerful one, in my mind.

The sequel ends with Cal going to an old Jedi temple, where he fights illusory Temple Guards. He proves to be an equal, and is led into a room with an old, yet well-maintained Temple Guard armour. He puts it on, then exits the room only to find the temple is empty. Cal then feels a disturbance in the Force, and proceeds to the main room (a large, circular room with a high ceiling). 3 Inquisitor show up, alongside a bunch of Purge Troopers, and Cal defeats them all with relative ease. The game ends with Vader standing at the entrance of the room, telling Cal he's come far since they last met, proceeding then to ignite his lightsabre.

I'm glad you liked it. I was thinking about a full cinematic series for this game but I'm gonna wait for a few things. I'm gonna get better PC and monitor so everything is gonna be shot in 4K and with additional graphics mods. And I also want to wait for a few more mods that will make my series completely unique. For example modders are now working on a mod that gives Cal a blaster pistol. It'd be really fun to have that + some more outfits and other tweaks. Malicos appears to be a form VI Niman specialist with training in Form I Shi-Cho and Form IV Ataru given his jar kai style, his use of wide sweeping attacks, acrobatics utilizing rotation (though not true Su ma rotations), and willingness to use the force in his attack sequences. Cal seems to be mainly a Form I shi-cho specialists with training in form VI Niman (along with possible training in Sokan) as well give his wide attack arcs, skill aganist multiple opponents, integrating the force into his combat sequences, clever use of terrain, and his weakness in one on one dueling. If I was his master I would suggest further study of Form VI as a true Form VI master is a very dangerous opponent as the style possesses no weaknesses in the hands of a true master and can off balance the users of other styles as most notably shown by Exar Kun's use of the form combined with his dual bladed lightsaber and Trakata tactics.

Well done, but it just emphasizes how poorly made this game is. The animations are stunted and fake-looking, and NPC dialog is repetitive. Not to mention gosh-awful controls.

I like the idea of cal being a temple guard a lot more it makes more sense why he is so powerful, They could have fit it in so that he was knocked out by a clone and escaped when they left but lost most of his memories and slowly got them back
