I like the harder sets. It makes me want to open them more. If the set is too easy I am better off buying the top chase cards

Kinda unpopular opinion at the moment but I like that they aren’t injecting Rayquaza and every pokémon that gets something every generation (except for charizard. they really need to stop with all the charizards) the cohesion and vision of the sets have been really nice to see

I think we are all thirsty to see our oldschool favourite pokemon be added to new sets but this wasn’t the set for it, the hoenn trio have no ties to ancient/future. The persona dragon set will def have rayquaza in imo. It releases around the same duration into the generation as Roaring Skies, Celestial Storm & Evolving Skies did

Thankfully, we're moving into mid S/V already, which means they can be a little bit more experimental with what they want to put in the sets. I pray for a SIR Deoxys card by I don't know if we'll recieve one, I just wish they did something cool with Gold Cards because they have felt the same for so long, Paldean Fates was the only set recently to switch it up, but i don't know why they wouldn't go harder into an idea like that, or just pushing out more of those older pokemon. Hopefully, for the Indigo Disk DLC Set, which should be the one after TWM, they bring back Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem. I really enjoy your content Oz, I just find it enjoyable to put on in the background

There's a couple aspects that could end up pushing the set from good to great long term, and one is the fact that at lest the SIRs in the set are based of mostly fan favorite pokemon (just ignore terrakion lol). Similarly we saw people get hyped for the "salamence" SIR in paradox rift. So we'll have to keep a close eye on paradox rift as well, and that may give us an idea of what will happen to temporal forces. The other side is how key are the cards in the competitive TCG. Ace spec prices are staying high even though they are 2 per box because cards like prime catcher are basically essential. I don't know enough to be able to point to when this has happened in the past but that would also be interesting to look at. Appreciate the discussion! I also love the art in this set. I don't think I'll be opening up boxes lol but will definitely buy singles.

Yeah Art is ofc important, but a set with random pokemons that people stil dont care much about, wont become a good set to invest into, until people catch on to these pokemons somehow. or if they sort out sets that mix in favorit pokemons with new pokemons etc. Like if they make a set with "team up" kinda cards like Random Umbreon + One new pokemon, and then people would slowly start to get into these new pokemons. so yeah i agree u are spot on. if they had some fan pokemons into these sets, that will make more hype and you combine the different ages of pokemon, the boomers + people actually playing the game would find it interesting.

My favourite set in a while. Bought the Pokémon Centre ETB's which I don't usually do. Surely it does have classic popular Pokémon? Raikou, Entei and Suicune are all fan favourites.

dude that would've been epic as hell ! I've just got back into collecting after a 20 year hiatus. this is why 151 was so alluring to me cuz the classics being represented. I watched your video on paldea evolved and I got excited to see the magikarp and the tyranitar. which is why I'm now hunting that set as well in addition to crown zenith with the original legendary dogs. great no-nonsense straightforward content man! keep up the good work

I agree, the set looks great in terms of art but there's no real chase. Just put 1 or 2 really good SIR of gen 1, 2 or 3...The ancient and future pokemon are cool in terms of TCG mechanics but I don't think they will age well in the future. Will people really be nostalgic and spend big money to chase cards with names like Iron Leaves or Raging Bolt. Right now it's holding well because it's got staples for the TCG but once that rotates out, it's not gonna help that set.

This is the best SV main set by far, just going on top card values, and the amount of them. Im grabbing booster boxes off tiktoc for 75$. Way to cheap to ignore at that price. Not to mention almost all the cards are slightly OC, which means psa 10s will be more scarce. This set has alot going for it

i mean its clearly fully SV focused SARs currently until probably SV7/8 most likely. Constantly expecting older mons to be in the spotlight is a bit much when they literally gave everyone 151 tbh and constantly ARs of older gen mon every set. also personally imo they been on the over use of Nostalgia since the XY era (its kinda boring at this point to see Kanto especially over and over again)

I'd be surprised if an expansion with those pokemon fails to appear before this generation is out. That being the case, I reckon we'll look back on Temporal Forces as not just one of the great sets of the Gen, but an all time classic. The artwork alone sets it apart from anything they've ever done.

It's hard to know what makes a "great" set on this side of history. Ex Deoxys - phenomenal set with a bunch of huge gen 3 pulls (unless you include the Raikou). Did collectors have relationships with Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias at the time of release? Maybe, but probably not. EX Deoxys is regarded as one of the greatest sets of all time.... now.. Not every "good" set includes a historically popular Pokémon at release. Let's see how this set is remembered years down the line. It has 6 "newly re-imagined" classic and popular legendary Pokémon. If you allow Scarlett and Violet its time in the sun, people may take a liking to the newer mons. The kids may love a good remix, too - we will see.

hey thanks very much for the feedback. Yeah we are still experimenting with how to price this and at what stage to go from free to paid. We definitely want to charge something, not only because we have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours building it, but because we get better feedback. We want this to be for people who see value in it and use it all the time. But any and all feedback and advise on this topic is most welcome as we want it to be accessible to everybody

re the quality of the scanning, we know it's not perfect (and might never be, it's a surprisingly tricky problem). But i have done a bunch of blind tests and i in my opinion it's the best on the market (obviously small sample size here and your opinion matters more than mine). I will say it works best against a plain white background, and it is based on machine learning, so the more people use it the better it gets ....
