I did my first open mic night as an adult and what I did was close my eyes, take a deep breath, and look out into the crowd as if to say I’m not scared of y’all” but I was 😅😂 and I killed it. It helps also when what you’re saying is authentic. Tems is authentic and really feels her own music, so that’s why the shakiness goes away. Writing your music or at least experiencing what others wrote for you is the key.
