Biggest misconception is thinking multiboxing is a "win all" button, I struggle to pvp in 2 accounts that are setup with active fits, and passive fits are not as good so you will end up needing to multibox to win anything. Maybe back when you could input broadcast to 20 accounts at once, but now when you need to actively use every single account not so much.

Hi! Cool Eve Videos! What are you doing in Eve? Are u in nulsec?
@johnpatz83958 күн бұрын
I played FAR to much Eve Online, but it’s been many years, I stopped playing short after the Barbies in space portion was added. I’ve thought about going back (still have 2 120+ million sp toons, one one finishing up earning for a Nyx super carrier and the other was ready to train the Titan skillbook (already level 4 in the other Titan level skills.) I’m having back surgery in April, and am considering getting back into Eve Online to help with pain management

Thanks for a very enjoyable video about Eve, minus the BS we get in CCP's adverts. This was my 20th year in New Eden and I'm still learning, it never ends! One thing I always love is introductory videos to the game which change from time to time, taking advantage of the latest updates etc. Happy New Year for YC127!

I remember having a keen interest in this game but ultimately decided not to get involved with it and went with games that actually interests me the most without worrying about online related stuff related to online games in general, mostly.

A comment for the algorithm. I wonder in the game how many Captain Jack Sparrows and Dread Pirate Roberts are in there 🙂?

MANY, dozens of variations of that!

i have played eve for like 10 years skilling up past 150 million skill points and had my own org in wormhole space with POS and have carriers super haulers and T2 ships probably a variety of 10 ships in almost every station in high sec lol. i lost at eve quitting almost 10 years ago or was it longer than that? i had a player in my org piss off the rest of the org they said he goes or we go.... he was my best PVPer but i cut him loose later he found me and said he grew up and dont act the same way so i let him back in org and he brought an enemy org to follow him and get access to my POS and destroyed about 100 billion in assets. all the org mates left the org he left org and they teased me... well i was going to start farming ISC in those hard core raids where you have to have top tier gear to even be invited to raid or call it quits... well i got in a couple raids but it has gotten so hard to find a group to raid with as they have been starting to select specific people filling up not allowing solo players with little to no friends... it got to hard to join to challenging and slow to make ISC any other way so i found star citizen... i have so much assets and quite a few toons with over 100 mill skill points. over my 10 years of play i think i invested over $7000 american dollars in subscriptions or plex or other. sometimes i think i can log in but i got in the game with friends and now its to hard to think i can return and probably be worse off then a day 1 player. i would sell the accounts but i hear they are not worth what they used to be. the funny thing is 10 years later i bet i have lots of skills removed and ton of free points to spend???

@paratrooperz1 I know a few people in eve and irl who are like that, claim they are changed but actions say otherwise. Usually such people are charming, but trust and charisma are very different things@

Question: Is EVE community friendly or toxic?
@jonathanbaker4361Ай бұрын
Should we, the late comers, be concerned that CCP was sold to someone else? What has happened since the purchase, and has it been good or bad for the game?
@resurrectedstarshipsАй бұрын
Overall, they seemed to have injected some marketing savy, and the game is not negatively affected. Seems to be healthy and not dieing.
@jonathanbaker4361Ай бұрын
@resurrectedstarships hmmm I hope you are right. I guess my concern is the predatory monetization that companies seem to love engaging in when buying ip with a built-in audience/player base.
@destroy_televisionАй бұрын
@@jonathanbaker4361 The in-game 'microtransactions' aren't very predatory, in my opinion. There are no flashy icons in your face saying 'buy this/buy that' and nothing that's hardlocked behind transactions. It's there if you want, but you don't need to. A lot of players do buy PLEX to sell for ingame currency (isk). Speaking for myself, I buy PLEX, only because I'm lazy and I'd rather fly around with my friends then devote a few hours to grind out some isk to fund ship losses. Just don't get stuck in the notion that spending hundreds of dollars makes you unkillable, because this is NOT that kind of game. Yes, you can buy your way into big ships, but not knowing HOW to fly them and understanding their roles will make for a very quick ship loss.

@@jonathanbaker4361 I love pay to win players in eve, they are like food, low hanging fruit. It's like a shiny loot box and I specifically hunt and keep track of these whales when I find them 😂

Eve is NOT free to play, you have access to a free trial account, otherwise you would have access to ALL T1 hulls to at least rank 4.
@astron800Ай бұрын
@@BLACKBIODRAGON The game is, in fact, free to play, been doing it for almost a decade now. When you pay for an omega subscription to get those shiny t2 ships, you may be inclined to believe that you have strictly better ships than f2P players, but you’re wrong. A venture (mining frigate) can tackle a naga(attack battle cruiser) and live to see another day, a Tengu (t3 strategic cruiser) can be lost to a good group of frigate pilots, a titan will die to a cruiser fleet, and an astero may lose to a heron. Omega subscriptions may give you access to better speed, tank, and firepower, but they come with trade offs. As of right now, an astero costs ~70mil isk, a Tengu cost 200mil for the hull alone, and a squall will set you back 20mil isk. In comparison, a probe will cost you 500k, a bellicose may run you 18mil, and a epithal might cost you 2mil isk. The lower tech options may be worse in some ways, most probes will crumple when shot at by an astero, a well fit bellicose can’t rake in as much money as a Tengu can when ratting, and an ephital won’t be able to defend itself when threatened, but what balances it out is the costs, lose a probe? No problem! Just buy another. Your bellicose got jumped? You already earned its worth in an hour or less. Ephital tackled, np! Just drop some cash and get back on your feet in no time. Even players with paid subscriptions still will use ships like the punisher, Merlin, dragoon, and Vexor if they can’t guarantee their bigger ships will be safe. And I haven’t even talked about the player skill factor yet!(a wise man once said ‘if you buy a golden gun bot don’t know how to shoot it, a player with a regular gun will still beat you.) So in conclusion, you do have to pay either your time or money for more options to be unlocked, but other than that, you don’t get any advantage flying omega. Sry about the rant.

After more than twenty years I left this game because it's utter shit, it abandoned everything it was originally about and because I despise CCP to the core of my being because they abandoned their principles and I know this as a fact because I was there from the very beginning, I saw the entire history of Eve Online and there are no words to describe the depth of my hatred for this game and its developer for the vision they abandoned. If this is going to be the norm moving forward I'll be unsubscribing because I subscribed because of your Star Trek videos and the cool models you made.
@jonathanbaker4361Ай бұрын
And he doesn't describe the vision CCP abandoned so people like me have no idea what he is talking about, and comes off as a disgruntled bitter person. Mr J, how about you tell us how you got these scars?
@astron800Ай бұрын
Seems a bit extreme to unsubscribe cause a video was made with eve in a positive light no. Smells like rage bait.
