the part about Greenspan really isn't true...he had made the statement to someone who asked him what if these subprime borrowers couldn't pay, and his response was that they can always sell their homes because there is always a market and the value always increases...that speaks volumes about his ignorance on the subject or complicity in a scam, especially since we had just been through that after the tax laws changed in '86...THAT is why he didn't feel that securitization of subprimes would ever become a problem
