Tender Nutmeg pickle recipe | ಮಾವಿನ ಮಿಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೇ ರುಚಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಜಾಯಿಕಾಯಿ ಮಿಡಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿನಕಾಯಿ | Nutmeg recipe | Jaayikkayi uppinakaayi
There may be very few or none, who didn't hear the name of nutmegs. We use them as spices and in medicines. These are good business too. And here by we present a tasty pickle recipe by using tender nutmegs which is very similar to tender mango pickle. We can skip the process of making them salted, because these don't have much water content as in tender mangoes. But still we can store them salted. The pickle can be stored upto 3 years, if stored safely.
Ingredients- Tender nutmegs- 1 kg, red chillies- 100 grams, mustard seeds- 150 grams, Turmeric powder- 25 grams. Saturated salt water as required.

Yes, my mother make since few years, but we use full mature nutmeg shell, cut into piece s but it's very pungent in taste spicy very crisp and tastes great. Should be cautious about over eating.....
