I watched your video but I have a question. Is it possible to put the pork tenderloin along with some small new potatoes and baby carrots at the same time for the same 45 minutes of cooking and everything Is cooked evenly at the same time? Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this recipe, I'll be trying it out today. One question, I got my Instant Pot Duo plus about a month ago and I've noticed no matter how long I let the pot soak or how hard I scrub it, it just never looks really clean. Is there a non stick pot for the Duo Plus Instant Pot? Thank you again for sharing.
@ChefAbbieGellman2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that definitely happens. I'm not sure if there is a non stick version, but I'm sure you can find out by looking on the Instant Pot site.

Heat baking soda and water in the pot until it is a thick paste and the scrub with a non-scratch scour pad.

Baking soda and vinegar and let it bubble and set and then use a scrubby sponge. It will look better than when you got it home.
@66lwmorgan2 жыл бұрын
@@colleenhutchison4794 I will certainly give this a try. Thank you Colleen and have a good day.

Thank you for this basic easy pulled pork method. Looking forward to trying your other recipes! I use a hand mixer with wire type beaters to shred Instant Pot cooked chicken breasts and it works great. Do you think a hand mixer would also shred this very tender pork as well? I don't see why not. Tks again.

Do you generally remove the silver skin before you cook a pork tenderloin?
@ChefAbbieGellman2 жыл бұрын
If necessary, yes, you can remove. I usually don't see much silver skin on a tenderloin though.
@donnadayle3762 Жыл бұрын
@home...i was going to say the same thing. you have to remove than silver skin or it will be really tough. take your knife and get underneath the silver and follow it all the way until it ends. you can start with the knife then grab a paper towel and pull it off. it takes only a little bit of time but it's delicious and it will be tender. if you have questions ask someone at your grocery meat counter to show you how to...this looks delicious...thanks!!

I can’t wait to try this! If I cook 2lb instead of 1 do I have to increase the cook time?
@ChefAbbieGellman4 жыл бұрын
Wonderful! Same amount of cooking time, gotta love the pressure cooker! :-)

I’ve seen videos with pressure cook time for the pork loin. from 1 minute 😯 to 5, 10, 20, and tours of 45 mins. I’m going with your timing

You an me both. I was on the verge of not even looking anymore an just winging it. But mines twice as big as hers so I need to going to go for about an hour. But your right. I’ve seen all kinda times.

This looks delicious, but I’m confused about cook times. The Pork council says cook for one minute, which seems crazy short to me.

Confusing. Description says tenderloin, but thumbnail says pork loin. Not the same cook times. Just saying.
@ChefAbbieGellman2 жыл бұрын
It is Tenderloin, as listed in the name and recipe ingredient list. "Tenderloin" did not fit in the thumbnail.

Pork loin and pork tenderloin are not the same thing…
@ChefAbbieGellman Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct. Both would work in this recipe, though, since it is a moist heat cooking method and the end result is tender, pulled pork
@bobanpen1 Жыл бұрын
a pork tenderloin is not a pork loin. You said you were going to show us how to cook a PORK LOIN
@ChefAbbieGellman Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct. However, this recipe works for both a pork tenderloin and a pork loin. Since this is a moist heat cooking method and the goal is a "pulled" meat the timeline is still the same.
@MikeM47294 жыл бұрын
It should be 6 minutes. Even if you’re going to shred, it’s way over cooked. Also almost no seasoning.
@ChefAbbieGellman4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, thanks for the comment. Yes, it can certainly be cooked for a shorter amount of time, but this longer time is beneficial to tenderize and create a truly pulled pork "melt in your mouth" finish. The more the collagen breaks down it will "melt" into gelatin. Regarding seasoning, yes, that is on purpose so that it is versatile for all. This is a very basic recipe so feel free to add whatever spices you like or serve it with whatever sauces you like.
