My parents actually met at this bar in 1968. Tony Mart’s in Somers Point, NJ, on a blind date. This is the real place and all of the biggest bands played there. The old timers in town all said this movie captured the era perfectly. My folks are both gone now but I can watch this and picture them being cool young college kids in the crowd.

Wendell's reaction makes this scene work so damn well.. Eddie was getting into it and Wendell gave his seal of approval while the others were jealous, what a scene. Wendell was the true soul of that band along with Eddie, once he died it ruined them and Eddie especially. One reason why I love 2 is he gets another chance with Hilton who was just like him. Rick was his second Frank in his own way. Why I love 2 as much as this one.
