Movie flopped in the theaters. Hit HBO and within a week every kid in my high school had a copy of the soundtrack .

I saw John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown band for $8.00 at a county fair. The movie just came out. I dragged one of my sons to go with me to see the!m.He was in 8th grade. He is now 45 and I am 70. I loved it.

Movie came and went in the theaters and flopped. It was shown on HBO and in such a short time every kid in my 7th grade class had a copy of this soundtrack. I remember conversations about us wondering if that was really him signing

Thirty-nine years later, and the songs from Eddie & the Cruisers still move this old man.😎

One of the criticisms of the movie is that the songs don’t sound early ‘60s, but I think that’s the point. Eddie was supposed to be ahead of his time, so it makes sense that the music would be as well.

I’m seeing John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band in May 2023……I can’t wait! This movie and the songs were my late husband’s favorite and May would’ve been his 64th birthday. Sitting in the 3rd row.

I'll never forget this haunting tale, an excellent movie with great music..... I saw it when it first came out in the early 1980's and it seems like yesterday.

in the late 80's I went on an audition for a wedding/party band , and On the Dark Side was one of the audition songs , I played it with a BIG Smile on my face , the guy who ran the band turned and looked at me after the song and said WOW ! I told him this song is in my blood.

Oh my goodness i loved this movie! My husband and i use to watch it a lot together. Actually have it on DVD. Makes me want to watch it again. Brings back some sweet memories of my husband and i. He's been gone for almost 14 years need some sentimental memories brought back to life. Can't believe how long ago it was when this movie came out.
