@@adamplentl5588 I don't think he knew _the whole time_ that it wasn't real. It's just how Viral is. He's this weird mix of very proud and very humble. He holds himself to high standards and hates fighting unfairly. He does what he thinks is right, and he's unflinchingly loyal to whatever authority shares the same viewpoint as him. He's not going to live a 'nice' lie when there's a mission to complete and an alien Godhead's collective ass in need of kicking. He can go back to having sweet dreams after the fight's over and he needs a nap. Man's got important shit to do first.

Hence the Antispiral's explanation: "So long as they have *intelligence,* they will never break free." Don't ask me how 'real' the Super Spiral Universe in the last episode was, though. That shit was pure 100%, 'This looks cool, so we're doing it.,' energy from the creators.

Its such a shame that people miss what the anti spiral are saying here. They litterally explain that Kaminas philosophy will lead to the end of reality, that the people who push forward without regard will destroy everything without care. Theyre a fantastic villian because in the end theyre right, Simon simply finds a better path between their, Nias, and Kaminas philosophy.

Dude, youre just wrong. The whole point of the show is optimism before everything else! Everything will be alright if you work hard and keep fighting. That doesn't mean you need to play fair. It doesn't mean you need to take the punches on the cheek and turn. Its about fighting until you have nothing left and continuing on. No more leaders. No more destruction. No more limits. Its about pushing beyond limits. You didn't understand the point of the show. You are the anti-spiral, and you will be destroyed by progress.

@@logangagnepain7154 no you dont get the show man, what are you talking about they clearly explain this in the final episode when Simon CHOOSES to not revive Nia, he does this because the Anti-Spirals had a point that there MUST be limits or everything will be destroyed, Simon just disagrees with their hyper oppressiveness, so he goes for a more middle ground taking the best of Kamina's and the Anti Spirals' ideals and applying them both.

Anti spiral is actually a near absolute omnipotent being, considered among the top 5 strongest characters in anime/manga. Opposing such a being is enough of a feat to put Gurren Lagann characters among the top even though they are humans.
