Tennessee vs. Texas has great rivalry potential. Both claim to be UT, both orange and white, the history between the states themselves is there. Wish there was room in the schedules to include this game every year. Regardless, without Tennessee, there would be no Texas. GBO 🍊

Texas will be re-matched with TAMU and Arkansas while keeping their game with OU. Oklahoma is the school looking to build new rivalries since they are leaving their old rivalries behind.

I will say from an OU perspective, we do have history with A&M from the Big 12 days and Mizzou from the Big 8 and 12. When we lost our 2nd most important rival, Nebraska, to the Big 10, it was only a matter of time before OU looked to leave. Missouri sees Oklahoma as more of a rival, but OU doesn't see them that way. But it does feel like Missouri will be our new Oklahoma State.

I wish there could be a rivalry to determine the real UT. Texas MUST play A&M every thanksgiving, and the OU game is our the other rivalry. How many consistent opponents do you get? Tennessee will be a fun game regardless.

It wasn't Football, Basketball and Baseball but in 1998 the Lady Vols and Tennessee Vols football both won their National Championships, and it was a great time to be a Vols fan!

What to know about Oklahoma. The University exists for the football team. Football is everything to them. It is all they have. Their team is mostly made up of Texas high-school players, few from their state. OU has been highly successful in football , but at expense of academics. They are all the state has. Passionate fans.

I don’t see ANY gain from adding 2 more SEC games. I’ll make all SEC teams’ records that much worse and make it that much harder to have the record needed to be in the playoffs. There’s a difference in 8 SEC games vs 10 in the BIG 12 and BIG 10. Damn Ohio State, for example, is basically still fresh compared to SEC teams at the end of year.
