I think there is some confusion about 'Being Stoic'. It is not possible to not feel anything unless you are totally disengaged from the match and simply don't care. Were Rafa and Roger stoic ? They more than any players I've watched kept their feelings to themselves. Outwardly they were calm, stoic, occasionally celebratory. Don't remember either of them acting out. But inwardly there were probably worlds of feelings both positive and negative. Can't imagine they didn't care, they just played their cards close to the vest so to speak.. It is a really bad idea to outwardly advertise to your opponent that you are suffering, fighting yourself, bothered by their game or their gamesmanship. Doesn't mean you don't feel inside, you just don't advertise. Big difference.
