On the ball bounce i'd actually bounce it on the concrete though so you are giving a more realistic rhythm for his swing.

I hope you do explain that with the forehand swing .. about the importance of a unit turn and the left foot needs to be out in front .. not being front on to the ball

Would the backhand drill also be for any use if you have a one handed backhand? You would never hit a shot like 6:05 with a one handed backhand.

Looking good guys! keep up the great work. Where do you get that superband (resistance band). How long? It looks like maybe you wrap it around the net post and then come through the hole in the band. I am sure there are different resistance thicknessess.
@nextlevelfitnesspt10 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks and you can go to a equipment site called PERFORM BETTER or a site like it. Also some walmart are starting to sell them and the resistance really depends the one I used was about 1inch-1 1/2 and should be 40 pounds of resistance.

I love the superband for endurance and my varsity level daughter could benefit...any suggestion on how to pick the right size? She is 5'4", 120lb (lean muscle), plays 5-6 times a week, uses an agility ladder (all the drills you did in the video in fact) and jump rope...I think this would be a great addition to her box of training goodies but there are so many choices!! Thanks!!
@veronicaverhelle128110 жыл бұрын
She lifts too...mostly 10lbs bells and a 10lb slam ball.

Any suggestions on what to do first? been observing tennis for more than 5 months. I don't do exercises nor go to gym. How do I start in order not to over fatigue my body? From small? tnx
@MrFlashwall11 жыл бұрын
play tennis against a wall for a few months before doing any tennis specific workouts. these are meant for those with a body that can handle tennis already
@nextlevelfitnesspt10 жыл бұрын
Im not sure what you mean by what do you do first?
@RandomizerElite10 жыл бұрын
Start by hitting against the wall first for half a year, then before doing any intense workouts, I do 130 jumping jacks just to warm my body, then stretches.

Great video guys. I would like to introduce the superband exercise for my who is a 13 year old tennis payer. I think this drill would help to teach him better hip rotation. Please tell me what is the length of the superband you are using. And also would you recommend any specific brand. Thanks for your help.
@nextlevelfitnesspt8 жыл бұрын
+Herman Lawrence. You can get the band from Wal-Mart now but start him off on the lightest one then move up.
