Nice hitting man! Since you are sticking to Babolat strings you should consider testing RPM Rough in your PA98, Luca from Rackets & Runners has it as his match made in heaven string for the PA98. Personally I have not tried that one, but Yonex PolyTourPro Yellow 1.25 is my current favourite string in the PA98.

Robert Rasmussen(Er du Dansker?), you hit quite well but why didnt you both hit again on the clay in the second session? Do all the demoing on the same surface? And do you like Extreme Tour 2022 or new Extreme Pro more? You seem to be hitting quite well with Extreme Tour

These kinds of videos are great for understanding how to evaluate racquets and what to look for. Understanding the though process is important to be able to choose your own racquet. Love it!!

Hey Jonas, very cool video. I love seeing people of all levels on your channel, but I'm especially happy when I see such high level players. I see Robert is a UTR 10. That's quite a high UTR. Well done both for a great video, and for some expert input / commentary. Love seeing the help being given to the tennis community by people who REALLY know what they're talking about.

Great playtest. I recently bought the Pure Aero 98 and started feeling pain my wrist after hitting a few balls. Also felt the swingweight was a bit high for my taste. Sold it, bought a Vcore 98 and Im having a great time. Highly recommend it for people who want a flexible plush frame with tons of spin and control 👍 UPDATE: If you get the Vcore put a round poly on it like the PT Strike. Less launch angle, more control and consistency. Tried it with all the Solincos (shaped) and shots were quite loopy 😅

I have a pure aero VS from 2020 (predecessor of the 98) and this racket cannot have the strings stretched too much, it becomes as stiff as a board. If you hit very hard and centered, you can still play somehow, in my opinion VS and 98 with polyesters for 25/24, 26/25 or even 24/24 is too stiff, now I made a hybrid of two polyesters for 22/21 and the racket came to life ..... I recommend using common sense when stringing large amounts of kg... the stiffer the string, the smaller the area of centric impact, the so-called sweet spot.... VS. 98 Babolata are great rackets, but stiff

I own a pd98(with customisation ), it’s purely a point and shoot weapon that hit ball like bullet, it suits for flat hitter!!! I also agree that the 74 RA stiffness is definitely not for everyone!!!

If one does not like the feeling of Babolat Pure Drive Tour 98 or sustains soreness the Dunlop FX 500 Tour is certainly the way to go. FX 500 Tour is better overall and a bit better for one handers also.

Robert hits a beautiful ball👌👌…Jonas, I switched from the Extreme Tour to the new Pro and originally I really preferred the new Pro for the little extra swing weight and more solid feel, but I’m about 6 weeks in now and I’m on the fence with it as I find it’s quite unforgiving on off centre shots, gives me quite a harsh crappy feel off centre…The Tour was definitely more user friendly I feel…That new Extreme MP is a rocket launcher lol, perfect for tubing net players😂

Such a nice playtest. The difference in launch angle between Vcore and Blade was so nice to see. Going back to his Aero 98 was also eye-opening, his shots were all much better and consistent. Most similar play style could be seen with the Extreme. But I would say he should not switch.

Nice playtest! Really nice hitting from Robert, he has a playstyle (and level) that I aspire to have. Good topspin forehand, with a flatter solid 2handed backhand. Coincidence that I also started using PA98 as my main racket this summer! I think this racket works really well for this playstyle.

Babalot pure drive 98? A bit Stiff? Thats a understatement. My iso 305 with tour bite felt better then gut/poly in my drive 98. It send shocks up your arm and its so bad you cant feel the sweet spot. I may have gotten a bad frame, 7+- ra so its possible it was a high one. Which then id habe to blame manufacturing. A 67 ra probably feels great compared to a 75 ra you might get

Tennis Nerd, id love to see a practical breakdown of differences between "control" and other kinds of rackets. Like what can a control racket do that a "spin" or "power" racket couldnt Also I see things like "advanced player" racket. If an "easy" racket helps out a rec player so much, why would those some easy qualities not help an advanced player? What is it about those easy rackets make it harder for an advanced player to win with them? Thanks

Hi Tennis Nerd! I need some advice for my 10-year-old son. He’s currently using a 26-inch Head Gravity Junior racquet, but his coach suggested it’s time for him to transition to a 27-inch racquet. I’m considering two lightweight options: the Head Extreme (the lightest version) and the Babolat Pure Aero (also the lightest version). He mainly plays on clay courts, and I’m looking for something that balances control and power, but isn’t too heavy for him to handle as he adjusts to the bigger size. Which one do you think would be the better choice for him? Any recommendations or insights would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

So what then IS the actual difference between the Extreme Tour 2022 and new Extreme Pro 2024? And what IS the actual difference between Vcore 98 2023 and new Vcore 98 Tour as you have mentioned?

Great videos!! I have been using pure aero rafa origin, just like you said it was a great racket to hit with, and give you smile when you connect it properly. Are there any rackets that has it stability, power and plow through, but easier to use and easier for the arms? I was thinking of ezone 100 or fx500 along that line

A comparison later this year with the new Head Gravity 98, Ezone 98 8th edition if you can get your hands on them, compared with RF 01, new Babolat pure drive and Head Extreme Pro.

I don't know if you reply to KZbin videos, but I'd love you receive your feedback since you seem familiar with the Aero 98. I'm really happy with it as far as most of it's aspects are concerned, but I have two small issues that i'd like to improve. I'm looking to enlarge a bit the sweet spot on my volleys and the plow through on my backhand, but I don't know how to do it without changing all the other aspects of the racket's playability. I don't mind the extra weight, used to play with Pro Staff 97 v13, but I don't want to lose another 3 months adapting my strokes or risk some kind of wrist injury.

Add 1gram of led per side (0.5-0.5) so 2 gramms in total at 3 and 9 o’clock. This minimal weight will make the racket seriously more stable (for volleys) and more solid for plow through on both wings. Try it out with slightly smaller weight also. It is a trial and error story until you find the optimum. This small change in SW will not affect your wrist at all.. Anothr option is to add 4 gramms on the handle ( stripes of 1 gramm bottom up on four sides of the handle below the overgrip. This improves volleying much more but lack the plow through level of the led in the hoop .

Thanks for the great video. I am actually considering switching to a 98. I’ve been using an Ezone 100 the past year but somehow I really lack confidence with it. I also tried stringing it with stiffer strings but it only made it worse (lack of depth but still no confidence). So far, I am testing the Extreme Pro and it looks like it could be a good compromise. Not sure if the smaller sweetspot is a bit too demanding for my level though (high 4.5 player). What do you think about 98 sq inch racquets and “intermediate” but ambitious players?

If you play on hard courts buy extreme pro, its beautiful and youll get used to the smaller sweet spot. If you play on Clay though stay away from it cuz youd need more Power than It gives you

I honestly would love a pure drive 98 type racquet that has a lower flex that doesn't hurt my arm. Unfortunately it doesn't look like such thing exists. Free power comes at a cost.
