Its is best to look at the CM reference on the shoe label. A 9.5 mens Nike is 27.5 cm and a womens size 10.5 is the same length at 27.5cm. Some manufacturers 27.5cm is 11 in womens. But as a man generally going to a womens equivelant length size is not advisable. The width is narrower, the arch length is greater. There are biomechanical difference between mens and womens feet. Usually its easier for a women to fit a mens shoe but not ideal.

Women’s tennis shoes typically have a narrower last than men’s so it’s not necessarily the case that going up 1.5-2 sizes larger would be a good fit.

Imagine a foot in a measuring device, but that foot isn't attached to a person. That foot is a fixed size, who ever it was attached to wouldn't change the length/width of that foot. A foot is a foot, it has neither a penis or a vagina. It is only made 'different' by the gender it is allocated. Think of shoe sizes as a brands code for your fit in their product, not an identifying feature of yourself. I like to use the takeaway analogy...you order a number 26 from takeawayA, that doesn't mean a 26 from takeawayB is the same dish. You can still get the same dish, but by using the number relevant to that maker. More women buy men's than the reverse because women's shoes are normally 'pink/pastel-heavy' and men's aren't as willing to do the shoe sex change...😏 If you use EU or cm(& Japanese) sizing over US or UK sizing men's and women's lengths are the same in those sizes. Sizing (B vs D) is a ratio, and a pretty outdated concept, at the crossover lengths men's and women's width is the same...the reason you don't get B width men's is because they don't make small sizes in men. At below a 7 it becomes a junior, but women's adult goes down to like a 3/4. So if you are, for example, a EU42/26.5-27cm (man or woman) the shoe will be the same size. Some brands do edit the midsole for men's/women's (like Nike Pegasus). That more relates to the size/weight of the user. Men or women can be 120lbs or 400lbs

Hi Harry, I had a question about tennis string reels. I was thinking of getting a reel since I've been breaking a lot of string lately. I was wondering how much string do I need to provide the stringer, and would it matter if you have different strings on the crosses and mains?
