Thank you for the video! I asked to make the video but never thought it would be ready so quickly. Thank you again. Also some information for those pure drive fans - I’ve played with it for about two years now. I had blast in it for some time, it was good while it was playable and to be comfortable it had to be stung at 45 or close to that, kinda tricky, so the marriage with the blast didn’t last long. Then I tried hyper-g at 48, won the tournament with it, liked it a lot and then after like 30 something hours of play time (even though I shouldn’t have played for so many hours) I decided to try confidential at 50. I liked confidential even better but the string was hardly playable after 20 hours of play time. Still like the predictability of the string. Now I have the ice code in my racquet at 50. Testing this combination now and it’s not disappointing….

Wolfy has two practice partners who swing Pure Drive 100 (2021). The teenager likes Hyper-G 16 (full bed) at 57 lbs. She hits harder and heavier than anyone else that Wolfy has hit with. The other is a 57 y/o male, solid 4.5 player who can hit anything from heavy topspin to delicate drop shots. Stringing his weapon in a hybrid configuration; Genesis Hexa Infinite 17 in the mains and Zero Gravity 17 in the crosses, both at 54 lbs. Wolfy’s weapon is Donlop’s FX 500, which is slightly stiffer than even the Pure Drive. Wolfy’s setup is Hexa Infinite 17 in the mains at 46, and Zero Gravity 17 in the crosses at 53.

@WaltKurtz682 күн бұрын
@@Raulpaezb I haven't tried a Pure Aero yet so I can't compare it with that. But as for comfort Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable is the only POLYESTER string I use in a really stiff frame like the Pure Drive (70 RA strung!). Why? Because Ultra Cable is a very eleastic polyester (=very low stiffness string). If you want even more comfort and protect your arm even better then consider a Multifilament string. I use Head Velocity MLT in a LOT of rackets, including my Pure Drive 98 (@24 kg). These are the two strings I use 99% of the time.

Coming back to the game after a long layoff I went with solinco confidential 17g instead of using Kevlar and synthetic. I'm still playing it strung at 65 in the dunlop cx200 tours. It is so nice on my arm. The confidential is really slick and I can spin it. I'm not chewing it up like I did synthetic so I just strung another with confidential 18 at 57 to see how it feels. I like that boardy feel.

I honestly don't get the hype with the Velocity MLT. It's very praised in many tennis sites and in many reviews here on KZbin and even though I try I can't fall for it as much. Sure, it's a solid string with a killer price and excellent value for money, but I don't understand how it can be recommended as the go-to-multi, or a nice choice for stiff racquets, or even being regarded as a "comfortable" string when (at least for me) it's one of the least multi-like-feeling multis I've tested.

Stifter rackets don’t band as much is a softer one. Stiffness is measured in RA. RA 60 is soft, 66 middle stiffness, 72 really stiff. Stiffer rackets usually have thicker racket’s beam (24,25,26 mm) and give you more power, but less arm comfort.
