For those who "criticize" Musetti because he lies on the ground: He comes from a very difficult period, in Italy he is under enormous pressure and ESPECIALLY tennis is a very expensive sport, especially when you are at Lorenzo's level and you don't have HUGE sponsors to cover your expenses. Making a leap from semi-final to final is equivalent to 115k dollars, he has to pay his ENTIRE TEAM as a percentage, made up of 2 coaches, 2 physiotherapists, masseurs, mental coaches etc etc. A result like this means saving the season even if it goes badly!!! Thiem retired for this reason!! Goffin, Schwarzman, Monfils, Wawrinka, Murray etc etc survive only thanks to the earnings of the past. You have no idea how much it costs to be a tennis player at this level and how important it is to win. Furthermore, now Musetti will finally be able to return to being seeded often in the ATP 1000 and Slams, but for you who criticize serially, almost as if it were a hobby, you cannot understand this.

Thanks for the info -- makes a lot of sense. Lying down at the end of a hard-fought victory seems natural enough. My main issue with tennis today is the exaggerated grunting on every shot. Am I wrong to say that this is intended to disrupt the opponents attention? It certainly disrupts mine and seems unsportpersonlike.
@Robert-w9e7g
@Robert-w9e7g 6 ай бұрын
This is so true and it is even more difficult for the lower ranked players that do not even play on the main tour. The players are also responsible for their airflights and hotel rooms.

@@Robert-w9e7g Very true. Just yesterday I listened to an interview with Pellegrino, 158 ATP, in which he spoke about the enormous difficulties in earning money for him and his team. This leads players under 150-200 to take part in many Challenger or ITF tournaments in order to support themselves financially. But Pellegrino said that even without a sponsor, if you "navigate" between the 150th and 200th position you can make a living from tennis. Unfortunately you cannot have a team of physiotherapists, masseurs etc etc
@comequandofuoripiove6951
@comequandofuoripiove6951 6 ай бұрын
@@jonwest2286 Cases of unsportsmanlike "grunting" are very rare, in fact I would say none at all. It is in the human body after making an effort to expel the air that accumulates in the ribcage. Anyone who offends Alcaraz, Sonego, Rublev, Nadal, Zverev etc etc does not know what it means to impart that power to a ball, perhaps by running from the opposite side. No professional tennis player will ever say that he is "absurd" (except during matches to get an "extra point") :)

Except for his forehand, which is one of he most awkward forehands on the tour. I'm happy he 's in the final, he's finally playing great grass court tennis, plenty of nice shots and rallies. But that awkward forehand technique always costs him many points in every match, he always has to fight two opponents in every match. If he had a normal top-class forehand, his game would be top 10 level currently.

there was another point at least that was out of order here. you should either develop a better system of how to select and them merge the points together in the right order or develop a (simple) it system that keeps track of this. weve seen double points in highlight reels, too and surely also points were left out. it's a "free" service, if you will, but why not do it properly? cheers.
