Thanks for the great comparison, Ian! Yep, I noticed in less than 30 seconds that neck #2 had "more" of everything, which is usually, but not always, nice for your sonic tool kit.

❤ yeppppp pucked it right after the 1st lick. Both cool but 1 EM neck definitely darker. I find the same on mine. 2 Gloger definitely more instant. Clear. More harmonics in sound

Thx sooooo much for the comparison my woodwind bruvahhhh!!! I've always wondered about the difference in the angles of the neck. I like both of the necks for different types of songs. The highr the angle usually means brighter sound and power because the airflow is quicker and this is definitely underlined here between the 2 necks.

I get the same kinda difference in my EM copper becks to my EM solid Silver neck. Both nice but different

I find that a good way to test a neck sonic quality is to voice harmonics using only the mouthpiece and the neck. If one can voice 3 to 4 overtones that sound full and have uniform resistance, the neck is of a superb acoustic construction that will provide seamless transition in all regimes including the very high altissimo as well as lots of color one can work with on the horn by changing mouthpiece, reed or adjusting embouchure. For full disclosure I play using a KBSax Redwood, hammered copper. Now, I do find it is a shame that EM feels they have to copy the exact outer design and esthetic of a product made by a small craftsman rather than releasing a product that stands on its own :-(
