what about flutter on the back side blade ? the one running thru the guard ? I'll assume if its fluttering I can bring the tension up a bit ?

A technique I knew nothing about even though I understand the physics of vibrating strings under tension including resonance, which is what the fluttering is.. Very interesting indeed. I'll give it a try when I've finished refurbishing my bandsaw. It would have been helpful to show the adjustment setting at the end to compare with the setting at the start - something I can't do as my saw is a long obsolete small model with no tension scale. Just have to set it by guesswork which is where the fluttering technique should be helpful.

VERY NICE DEMONSTRATION SIR. I LOVE MY BANDSAWS I COULD NOT BUILD MY GUITARS WITHOUT THEM. I WAS GETTING FLUTTER ON THE 14" I USE FOR CUTTING SHAPES WITH AND THOUGH I'VE BEEN USING BANDSAWS FOR A WHILE THIS SOMEHOW SLIPPED MY MIND SO BEFOR I GOT TO CARRIED AWAY TEARING THE THING APPART I THOUGHT I WOULD CHECK SOME VISEOD OUT AND BOOM YOU SOLVED MY PROBLEM. ITS FUNNY HOW THE MORE WOODWORKING SKILLS YOU AQUIRE YOU CAN STILL FORGET THE BASICS HAHA. THANKS

Yo creo lo que yo hablo aqui no va a tener sentido... Pero voy intentar. perdon si mi mal espanol poner sangre en tus ojos... Cuando to poner mas tension (la sierra fuertamente tensianado o menos tensianado), comenzar primero con la sierra con tension bueno. Cerrar la chingadera puerta y prender la sierra... tu poner tension agusto, vueltar la chingadera del tension hasta que la sierra no esta vibradando. PARAR ALLI, y solo vuelta 1/3 mas y es todo.
