I’m getting too old I’ve seen things go in and out of style a million times. Even if you’re not renting this is the way to go.

Thats cool. I have two smaller windows in my sewing room exposed to west setting sun. I do have mini blind on them but they would look better with a topper. I didnt want to just do that 80s traditional ruffle thingy!

Do you think it would work to use black out fabric with tension rods in a skylight? I’ve got one in our guest bedroom and I was trying to figure out how to block out the sunlight in the summer.
@cherylkirby911910 ай бұрын
Just measure it, I think that it might work out well especially when she folded hers shorter. Or you can put a seam on each side of the fabric and just use 2 rods instead of 3. Try it out and you can always make it with seams if it's not something you like and nothing is wasted. You can always return the third rod....

Did you make the fabric shade yourself?
@tiffanykimes46189 ай бұрын
I think she did out of a drop cloth In a previous video, she made a cover for a bench. And that looks like the same material.

Euh, is that to create dusty corners???

This won’t work if you can only do outside mount shades

Cute but not functional... 🤔🙁... What about at night...? I like privacy...

I mean, just run a couple seams, make some rod pockets and insert dow rods and add some string. Ta da. Roman shades.
@cherylkirby911910 ай бұрын
Top, middle and bottom?? Trying to think of something light and simple for a big window with tension rods but would need a string. So any help would be appreciated. The blinds leave too much light in the bedroom in the morning and are so sick of sleep masks. I considered a film on the window but this would be darker than the film.

Sure, but nothing wrong with an alternative. Not everybody wants to or knows how to sew.

I like hers better. You can work with any length for more privacy.
