Dan, I suddenly suffered a gout attack several years ago. Lasted a couple of weeks and I could hardly walk. Believed it was caused by certain food / drink. However after a few more attacks found I had family history of gout. It’s caused by a build up of uric acid that forms crystals and gets trapped in a joint which swells. Best treatment is water, and loads of it. Seriously. If you keep getting attacks, ask your doctor about allopurinol. Since I’ve been on it, I haven’t had an attack 👍
@chrisbardell9 ай бұрын
Sound advice. I had constant gout attacks for a couple of years before I worked out what it was. Seafood did trigger it - and biltong- but the main problem was that I’d become a really fat fecker. Dropped 1.5st - about 9kg - in 4 months (lots of cycling, bit of swimming) and I’ve kept most of it off since. Gout is GONE, no attacks at all. Increased exercise of the affected joints probably helped too.

Hi Dan i got a Jackell 2 at Xmas. Ive been out once so far and its a solid tent im really inpressed with it. I went on Ebay and got from a military surplus site a thing called an IPK (idividual protection kit) we used them when we dug trenches. It comes with a fully waterproof groundsheet, pegs and para cord rope. It cost me only £9. The sheet is exactly the same size as the jackell 2 and makes an excellent lightweight footprint. Try one out i think you will be impressed. Love your humour and vids by the way keep em coming and good luck.

Another great video Just like to say, I've watched your channel for about 6 years and loved following your adventures. I appreciate all your hard work and everything you do. Would love to meet you one day and have a good laugh while camping. I've tried doing a channel because I thought it would be nice to share my adventures. I have tried to do a KZbin but since I lost my job, I'm lacking funds to get the rest of the stuff I need. Mainly Video recording equipment and a few other bits of gear too. I tried doing it on my phone but the battery dies so quick, it's not really a good idea due to needing my phone for the more obvious. Hopefully I can get back on it soon.

I have the Hyena 2. It's a good solid little tent. The Jackal 2 is far too big for my stealth camping. Upgrade your Hyena 2 pegs for some arrow type and it will stand up to some rough weather. Never let me down. My videos are testament of that. 👍

I like when the weather warnings pop up. Especially wind or lightning. Last night, I was attempting another stealth camping vid when a bunch of off roaders showed up and kinda killed the mood. Hello Chap, hope you are well? I'm a big fan of your channel, I was wondering if I could get your advice? I've seen your video on going for a first wildcamp but I wanted to know what might be the worst possible outcome of camping on a privately owned woodland? It's just for one night and the wood lands has public paths through it. I just could really do with your expert input! Many thanks, Christopher
@alanmacmillan69578 ай бұрын
cut and then imbalanced, so wind took remaining piece I reckon. ;-) hill and rope might have been intended to use to help remove the wood they felled.... I just keep my hilleberg soulo with the inner tent and footprint all attached. I can then pitch it quick and get it down even quicker in emergencies to just stuff it in rucksack and I know all the bits are attached. do bigfootsi n Newcastle drink - "Wookie-broon".
