My TenZ Finalmouse just arrive 8/20/22 and here is a little unboxing and first impression of the mouse.

Sad to see it still has the same scroll wheel problem as the original Starlight 12 but will have to say after a year of using mine I don't even notice it anymore nor has it ever caused issues or functioned differently. Id call it a small con when you take in all the other pros to the mouse.

I have been having hella issues with my starlight to the point where i cant scroll on webpages at all and switch to a different mouse when not in game. Wasn't that bad at first but has become unusable in many cases, even with all the firmware updates.

the infinity skins are re usable it’s fine to try out all the different ones :) personally i use the 1.2mm on the left side and 2mm on the right but it really is all preference

I kinda like the tilted scroll wheel not gonna lie. It gives me better movement for both csgo and valorant due to my finger being more tilted on the scroll wheel and it fits my playstyle really well. One thing i've noticed though is I would accidentally change into my knife/pistol or jump when I flick too hard. Everything else for me is fine though.

I know these are just minor things that confuse me. But is the cable usb type C? and if it isnt, why isnt it. I just have this feeling that this Final Mouse doesnt seem to be any different from the standard starlight 12 and just is a collab with TenZ

It does NOT have USB-C. Micro usb. I would say it is just a collab. I guess the only difference is that this one comes with the grips which the other ones don't, from what I know.

Okay so far I think I like the Finalmouse better. I have a medium coming as well so I will be testing that out and getting a better idea. I’ll do another video in future of an update on how I like the Finalmouse. The only think I like about the superlight more than the Finalmouse is the texture of it. You need grips with the Finalmouse.

how is the coating? the problem I had with the phantom starlight was it was hella slippery and it made grips mandatory for me

Okay, so I do feel like the width of the small is a little too small for me. So, I added the 2.0mm grips. Without the grips it's hard to say if it is slippery because I already had the problem with it being too thin. Now, if you had proper fitment with the mouse before the grips then I would say that the coating is not too bad. This is my first finalmouse so I don't know if the coating is the same as the previous models. I do like the coating on the superlight more.

If you are unsure still try to join the finalmouse discord and ask for help how to update your firmware.
