I think as a company, they force other brands to adapt. I like the company but i just hate their business model of using drops. I have one as well, and the side buttons arent that great. How about yours? I feel some to alot of pre travel on M4

I'm an idiot. I spent 1000 euro for phantom small, phantom medium, poseidon medium and every single one of them have at least one issue witch makes given mouse unusable for me. The medium ones when it comes to shape and weight are like perfect mice for me but how many of them I have to buy to get that one unicorn perfect copy? Not worth it and also when you take into the account the "average" quality it doesn't belong even into the top 10 imo. EDIT: to clarify at least one of the issues: I play Apex and I have jump bound to scroll down and sometimes when I press RMB to ADS I jump and this happens with every copy I own but it's more rare with small one but with mediums it happens once every match. Also there is that weird issue (also with every single one) that suddenly it feels like the DPI has changed. I play on 800 dpi it feels like it changes to something like 1000 dpi (definitely not 1600 dpi which is the next step but I have managed to activate the dpi button by pressing the mouse against the pad in tense situation maybe 3 times so it's not that big issue for me) or something and I have to cycle through all dpi steps to make sure that I'm officially still at 800 dpi. This weird effect goes away always after I cycle through all dpi steps.

Both of my TenZ mice (small and med) have good QC with no major click issues. One has a stiffer/louder click on one side than the other but it doesn’t bother me. One of my scroll wheels is slightly off-center but again, it doesn’t bother/affect me. Performance is great. No delay issues, no scroll encoder issues, etc. battery life is great. I haven’t even had to charge mine yet and I’ve used them a decent amount.

Dope video. Would you consider making a video testing latency for all mice you own/creating a list that you update with each new mouse you try? I feel tech power up is missing a few popular fps mice and it’s always good to have multiple tests anyways!

Was worth for me.. no another full size mice weight as little as the Starlight small.. so yeah still nr1 in that regard.. low weight and fast pad is amazing for my wrist health.. Also love how Kailh 8.0 feel in this mice compared to my MZ1.. way more crisp and lighter.. almost feels like omron to me.. That metallic feel also gives it more premium feel.. its very nice in the summer and warm weather..

I recently bought a second-handed Medium size one, and it works flawlessly. Only a little bit of creaking on the sides, other than that, this one is perfect. So I recommend you guys buy a good quality second-handed one, cause at least it'll have less problem, if you don't mind the gunk ofc.

Have the exact same issues on my unit. Left click feels dismal, rattle is abundant. Apparently the fix is to open up the mouse and clean off the click plunger as this feeling is caused by a leak of adhesive. (Would love to see some content of you attempting this!) The rattle seems to come from the DPI button on my unit, so I’ll probably just remove the entire button when I crack mine open as I never want to change my DPI.

IMO Finalmouse is being outcompeted. Considering the fact that G-Wolves has a sub 30g wireless mouse in the works, it won’t be long before other companies surpass Finalmouse in every metric. Previously Finalmouse has always been able to go lighter, but honestly I don’t think there’s much more they can do than other companies now.

My medium and small TenZ finalmouse has no flaws and came in with perfect build quality, the small one has a bit rattle bc of the dpi button. You can check out my review, the in hand feel of the material and weight is just so much better than any plastic mice on the market, so I kept my small as my main, and I was actually performing better in game because of the crispy clicks and light weight.

As a longtime user of the finalmouse products and having starlights be my daily driver now for quite some time, I can comfortably say without a doubt in my mind, you smash ur mice when you get mad. I have owned 5 different mice from them and never had a problem with any of them. No shell creaking, rattle, or messed up mouse buttons. I’ve never even gotten the off center mouse wheel people are complaining ab.

To be honest the mouse is perfect for me. The palm grip, the clicking left click since I can't do 1 tap fires on my Superlight since it's too sensitive it releases 2 bullets lol. The main issue with this mouse is the scroll wheel! If you have JUMP bound to scroll wheel.. you will randomly jump, now I'm looking for a new mouse for this reason.

Tried vipers, g pro, pulsars, zowies, and so far nothing compares to the starlight in my opinion so i guess its more personal preference. Ive had no quality control issues on my finalmouse until just the other day (one year later) Mouse one kailh started double clicking so i swapped out the spring. The starlight is lighter and the shell is unbeatable. Mice competing with it are using the exact same switches and have mouse 1/2 side play so it seems to just come down to shape. Lamzu is the only mouse i see using something other than omron or kailh.

I had a similar issue on my original starlight Ares and it seemed to be the Mylar pad coming loose/off. they apparently improved the pads on future mice but i think the issue still persists even on later batches.

I have absolutey no issue on spending big money on anything pricey that will up my gaming enjoyment - recent purchases include an Azeron Cyborg, an Actis Nova Pro (wired because Im not a fucking idiot) & an Elite 2 Core controller as me Elite is dying after 2.5 years. - but these things are 400 USD!?!? This is ridiculous. It's like the Vertu Cellphone of mice. The only way I'd spend 400 0n a mouse is if it was made totally custom to my hand, looked and felt amazing, very good button layout & had a five year warranty.

I have a medium, my copy is perfect no issue. I know some new mouse technically out class SL 12 but the feel of magnesium alloy is really premium better than all plastic mouse i tried before.

I have my medium copied with buttons ok but the dpi button is actuated by pressing the bottom shell and the sensor sometimes loses tracks in game. e.g suddenly aim at the cell or the floor. Already gone back to my razer viper v2 pro since I would definitely not play with a time bomb. Decent review by the way, shows lots of actual qc problem of the mice.

i have a starlight small and had to send mine in to get a repair due to mouse button hitting the shell, got it back works fine but mouse buttons have slight loose feeling which is irratating and i have read nearly all have QC issues

Hello, I received a tenz pro before, and found that as long as the finger is relaxed to a certain extent after pressing the button (the button cover is still pressed down), the micro trigger will break for a while and then return to normal. I would like to ask if you have the same problem?

It would be a non-native solution on firmware level, which should add latency and for example does add latency with the XM1r for example. Now that I think of it, there should definitely be a latency penalty, meaning without it the SL-12 should be nearly at the level of the GPX

It would be all cool if they wouldn't overhype their stuff with this "exclusivity" marketing and creating drops, which eventually just disappoints most of the people not able to get one, and creating friction to consumer, instead of making things easier as it should be for a company that is interested in giving the best for their consumers. All though they have been game changers in some segments, being first mice brand to introduce holes which is still debatable was that any good... when pretty much a lot of low weight mice are released with normal shells now days. There are just more viable options, and brands who are genuinely interested in giving the best for their users, and not playing these evil marketing shenanigans.

I second that the shape doesn't work well in the medium size. If you are going to buy the starlight, buy it in small. If you don't like small mice, look elsewhere because the medium shape just doesn't feel great.

@@arrdeetrades Zowie is still the king when it comes to the best shape and best overall grip. So far nobody has been able to copy that coating with the closest (but still way off) being the GPX. You would be surprised how much comfort matters to CSGO and Valorant over and above having the latest sensors or wireless - which barely makes a difference when aiming comes down to skill and practice.

Finalmouse is a GARBAGE company no other way to put it. I've had 3 of them; the Scream edition, the Ultralight Phantom, and the Starlight. Of the 3, only the Ultralight Phantom had no problems, 2 of 3 had to be returned.. insane. The other 2 had issues with L click, scroll wheel, or rattling which had a significant negative effect on its use. It is a shame because I have huge hands and the shape of the larger versions was fantastic for me. On the other hand I have had 5+ Logitech mice as early as the MX510, currently own 2 GPX Superlights, as well as numerous Razor mice and NOT A SINGLE ONE HAD AN ISSUE. The sad thing is Finalmouse knows they have sh!t QC but they don't care to make any real changes because people keep gobbling these things up during their stupid drops (worst way to distribute the product). I would stay away from Finalmouse at pretty much all costs at this point.
