Hey mate. I know it's annoying to have some random stranger swoop in, watch a couple of your videos and tell you what needs improvement, but then again it doesn't look like you're getting a whole lot of comments, so I hope you won't be mad. What I like about your videos is the clear audio (definitely improved from earlier videos) and your accent. Sounds intriguing. Your choice of background set here is excellent, as well. Love it and kept looking at all the game boxes to see what I might know already. What I think could be done differently is shake it all up. This felt rather like an uncut monologue. Keep in mind that in cinema/TV/entertainment in general the rule of thumb dictates a cut every 3 to 4 seconds or the audience loses focus. That's a shameful trend but one cannot ignore it when wanting to get recognised on KZbin. So maybe you could cut in close shots of the game/board from time to time while your voice-over continues explaining? I noticed some small editing from time to time; you could definitely do more of that. Another idea would be to have one or two more sets. Like using this neat background when doing the introduction, then switching to you sitting at a table with the board game's contents spread out in front of you. If you ever get really professional about this you could also add in random silly reenactments of "in game scenarios" to point out some of your statements from the CONS section. Lastly I'm not a huge fan of the music. There's quite a library to choose from in regards to royalty-free compositions and I feel like something more classical could improve the quality of the video. Again, hope you're not mad. This was by no means a bad video, quite the contrary! In any case, best of luck for your channel, mate! And have fun with all your board games =)

Thanks for the advice. I’m really grateful for the response. I think what people forget is we do this on a zero budget. We record and edit on an IPhone and don’t use premiere pro to edit or anything fancy like that. It’s kind of hard to edit in other footage with the tools we have so it’s just a case of point and shoot and link to other videos in the description. Maybe one day we’ll be in a position to get more elaborate but you have to start somewhere, right? We just don’t have the budget or resources of SU&SD or Dicetower etc... Once again, thanks for your comments and suggestions. We’ll see what we can do in the near future so pop back and let us know if we’ve improved. 👍

So probably not the best 2 player game eh?
@BoardGameBollocks4 жыл бұрын
Not really. Try another rondel game. Anything by Mac Gerdts

@@BoardGameBollocks ok will do. Any suggestions?

For Mac Gerdts maybe Hamburgum, Antike or navagador (all quite old skool in feel) or if you want pure rondel then Vlad Suchys Shipyard is top notch.

@@BoardGameBollocks ya, I watched ur rev on Shipyard. That looks right up my alley but damn pricey. How about Le Havre?

Is shipyard out of print? Le Harve works best at 3 players but is still great at 2.
