I love the orange temple and the new building tiles are essential but really wasnt a fan of the player powers that have negatives. I found they funnel you into one way of playing. Thought the seasons just added another level of complication to consider and wasnt as inpactful as the tzolkin expansion version

Worst expansion: the event cards in Star Realms

I'm in the minority for sure, but the expansion to Roll Player, Monsters and Minions didn't work out for me. I liked it just fine, but it pushed the experience from an easily teachable game that's simple to set up to something more involved, which is great for some people but made me leave it on the shelf when I otherwise would have grabbed it to show new players.

Wow I was actually going to say the same. In a game all about careful choice and manipulation, it added hugely swingy and dumb roll-to-resolve gameplay, and diluted the market so bad in 2p that our scores plummeted. Really not good for all its hype

I've been fortunate. The worst expansion I've played has been Star Wars Rebellion: Rise of the Empire. The base game is very clean and nothing is there that doesn't need to be. The expansion adds more combat elements to a game that is more cat and mouse then combat oriented.

Least favorite expansion: Terraforming Mars turmoil. Political portion is very uninspiring.

Least fav expansion....Cities & Knights for Settlers of Catan. We tried it many times and would rather play any other Euro game instead of that expansion!

Star Wars: Rebellion Rise of the Empire makes the combat way too cumbersome. Combat in a game that big and long should be fast and simple to resolve

Probably most, if not all of the Race for the Galaxy expansions I would say make the game worse

Agree, but have you tried the cards in Alien Artifacts? Those are now the standard way for us to play cause they often gives two different powers for different strategies. Love them!
