Pineapple Tea almost the same Boil the skin in water for 10mins.Let it steep for24hours.Add crushed small piece ginger,honey n cinnamon.Strain n drink it .BTW,the core of the pineapple is the healthiest..it has an enzyme..bromlaine.. excellent for health.Tastes good too!. Paaji I made this and it came out amazing, mnaaged to fix my bat gut due to antibiotics. Q is i drained all liquid out after 5 days can i reuse the pulp again for next batch anything to watch out for. Thaks for sharing much appreciated

Yes, you can reuse the pineapple pulp from your first batch of tepache to start another batch, but Add some fresh pineapple peels or chunks to boost the flavor and sugar content, as most of the sugars would have been extracted in the first batch.🙂

No it will change the taste. Sugar cane vinegar is different and has distinct flavour. Use raw sugar or even unbleached jaggery is also fine.

Thank you dear Chef for this interesting recipe. Tried this out and made the very first batch is ready today. Its tangy and has the sweet pineapple smell in it. Am hoping the family likes it. a) Can the leftover from one batch be used for the second batch tepache? b) After the 2nd batch is ready we can discard the material? Dhanashree did mention about the second feed at 10.50. But it was brief, so I thought I'll check. c) When the second batch from the same material is made, we just add water and sugar?
