This was a great and throughout review. I don't play violin but I admire the instrument and it was great to learn more about what makes up a good one, especially with your nice voice

Thank you for posting your own review of their keyboard cause it prompted me to reach out to them for this!

Thanks for the review. I’ve heard about Glarry before; they also make guitars that are inexpensive and supposedly decent for players just starting out, or those just looking for something less costly to tinker with and improve upon themselves. I’d heard their guitars were much the same, doing a lot of stuff right, with just a couple of the finer points needing to be tweaked; Action, slight hardware adjustments, etc. Hopefully they’ll keep improving and trying to do right by their customers. I’ll keep them in mind if I’m ever in the market. Outside of that, your music is fantastic, and I hope things are, and continue to go well. 🙂

Yeah I think it's still a great value! But you can definitely get it sounding and playing even better with some TLC!

I keep seeing “beginner Violins” what’s actually the difference? I just graduated and can’t use my schools violin anymore and idk what to purchase
@TeraCMusic17 күн бұрын
@@MANCHESTERBULLSFC usually beginner violins are mass produced which means they are cheaper and typically lack the quality and detail that you'd find in a hand made violin. The tone might sound more like a toy, for example. They take shortcuts in making the violin too. Were you working out of a violin book? Depending on your skill level and what you plan to do with your music abilities after graduating, you can find a good intermediate violin to use and practice with!

Could a repair person shorten the height of nut? And also, would it be an issue to buy a properly sized & cut bridge? Or have them adjust nut
@TeraCMusic3 ай бұрын
@@deegee1317 A good luthier should be able to do those things, yes!

They probably can unless they used cheap glue like contact cement or wood glue not meant to be easily removed. Pro violins are often assembled with hide glue so that the parts can be disassembled for repairs.

The sound is not bad for a $75 - violin
@TeraCMusic2 ай бұрын
Agreed! But it was VERY difficult to actually play unfortunately... Customers would have to take it to a shop to get it set up properly and they might be better off purchasing a more expensive violin. That way, they don't have to worry about the extra cost of setup!
