Nice LJ. I have a 6.2LS/6L80 combination in my 2011and love it. I integrated mine with the Jeep BCM as well so everything functions as if OE. Have 40k miles on this setup now and could never go back. Great looking Jeep and we’ll thought out Dennis. Mike

You have a wonderful jeep . It still hurts my heart to do any changes to my 2006 LJ , so it's still all original.

Hi Dennis, awesome LJ! Any bad manners with the detroit lockers? I love the idea of doing just what you did but of course you hear the stories with the poor road manners, etc. mainly I just wheel my jeep but do drive on the hard-road as well.

Very cool! Was curious what you used for the gas tank filler tube/gas cap?
@denniswood55543 жыл бұрын
The Genright tank allowed for a fill cap in the rear left rear corner inside the Jeep on the floor next to the tail gate. It works great

How do you like the PRP seats? I want to swap the seats in my JK. It's mostly a trail rig, but I still drive it around town in the summer, and we still like to take it for Sunday drives. I'm concerned about daily drive comfort. Also, what did you do about the seatbelt buzzer?
@denniswood55543 жыл бұрын
The selt belt buzzer was easy to short out. PRP make quite a few different styles, so I'm sure you could find something that would work. They seem to be good quality.

Was the engine and trans a pull out or did they come in a wood box? Sweet ride
@denniswood55543 жыл бұрын
Trans was in a "wooden box" and is built. The motor was out of an escalade...I got lucky, it's a runner

How big of a gas tank do you have? And going to put some LED headlights plus some auxiliary lights as well?
@denniswood55543 жыл бұрын
It's about an 18 gallon tank, and yes I swapped out the headlights for some Quake LED bad boys...I can actually see now. Also added some rock lights and B piller lights coming from Quake as well.

Why not go with the 392 Hemi? Just wondering.
@denniswood55543 жыл бұрын
I've done 392s in my last 3 JKs, and the guys at Bruiser Conversions make a great kit for the TJ/LJ ... I'm really liking the 6.2, with a tune it's close to 500HP....what's not to like ? Lol
@JeepCherokeeful2 жыл бұрын
If you want to spend more money and have less power, reliability and no 6l80 transmission, why not?!
@DirtyMrRogers3 жыл бұрын
Starting from a stock LJ, to end up exactly as his... $? I get over $20k, but are we talking over $50k, or over $90k?
@jasont78142 жыл бұрын
Probably $50ish plus. I imagine he’s got $20,000 just in the axles.
@denniswood55542 жыл бұрын
yeah this stuff is nasty expensive to build. Full nemesis armor, the wheels and tires alone are 10K the motor conversions are 25-30K coilovers 4K axles 19K ..... Awwwhhhhh don't remind me lol

I’d estimate minimum 150k. Especially ,If you farm out any labor.
