He would’ve had 30 title defenses if he had gotten his shot when he deserved it. It wasn’t until later in his career, beating Hearns and Mugabi, that he fully got the credit he deserved. Crawford has ALWAYS been this good and his resume is incredible. The reason that the fight with Spence wasn't close is because Crawford been studying Errol since day one he knew every flaw in Errol's style and capitalized of of them it didn't look like Spence's team watched any footage on Crawford to exploit any of his weaknesses. Overall Errol looked very slow no footwork, head movement, feints or anything no flat foot predictable pattern fighter will beat Crawford, Spence should have fought Crawford the way that he fought Danny Garcia with patience, distance and defense.

I dont care what they saying about Gamboa now back when Bud fought him he was a beast, a phenomenal fighter who never tasted defeat and to defeat Gamboa at that time of his career equivalent to beating Spence with all the hype. It was a big fight two undefeated fighters that was at their best. Bud like always rise to beat a phenom at that time and i was a fan of Bud ever since! Crawford should be let outta that contract at 154 seeing team Spence weren’t counting on losing. Bud met every thing they demanded from him. The rematch should’ve been set for 147 this was a strategic move to force Bud at 154 to fight only if Spence won. Bud said himself, he struggled a bit to make 147. Errol’s team was looking at a size disadvantage thinking it would be 🔑 to their advantage overlooked two things: Bud punches at light heavyweight power 175. and Errol has trouble fighting southpaws. Fight won’t happen. No money in it now. Everyone can see that whatever weight it is Spence just gets plain beat up. Nobody going to tune in to see what’s gonna happen when everybody knows what’s going to happen

I predicted Crawford would win way back when the fight was first floated. But like most everyone but Tim Bradley, I didn't see it being so brutally one-sided with Bud really putting it to Spence. I've had three guys I thought were p4p No.1 worthy for awhile now: Inoue, Crawford, and Usyk... Inoue pulled ahead of the three for about a week... now it's definitely Crawford because of who he beat and how he beat him... no argument. The problem for both Inoue (really a supreme talent who's special because of his uncanny power), and Usyk is a lack of name dance partners... Crawford is at the right weight to have name opportunities all around him....also the guy is an articulate, thoughtful guy who should make a great face for the sport----
