I am tuned in to the some modern day naked apes loops of destruction, and though it is grotesque, I believe it's necessary to subscribe to it and try to understand it's complexities. Terrence is a thousand times better to listen to than the nonsense of the modern era though.

Kerome33, Yes. Exactly. I have no interest in trying these things, but fascinated in what Terrance shares, and love Erowids Vault. Nature gives spiritual guidance, and corrections. Like when young, I sprayed a hornet with Raid. Suddenly the face enlarged huge, with white spray dripping down it's face. I was asked, "why did you just do that to me?" Of course, I didn't have an answer. I looked away, and across the river, was a small cloud just sitting there. I found myself saying out loud, "wouldn't that be great if that cloud came over and poured down with rain, just enough for me to grab my tools. Immediately it quickly crossed over, poured on the bees and me, grabbed my tools. Completely blown away, I looked up at the house on the hill, and my neighbor came towards me as I ran to him. "DID YOU SEE THAT?" He too was amazed. That is kind of how it works for me. Comfortable with that. At the same time, no denying I appreciate and need learning from others too.

i never found an equivalent fountain of so much intellectual stimulation and provocation as the words of Terence McKenna. I am an overeducated retired college professor affected by intellectual ADHD,, an 'eclectic' (not a good label in academia), who has absorbed everything like a take-no-prisoner mental vacuum cleaner. I digested most of the stuff I learned, inlcuding the philosophy of Ancient Greece in the original language, the philosophy of the Latin world, including Christianity (I also read Latin fluently), and many many other complex systems of thought and analysis. And yet there is something in Terence that stands out. I begin to sense that he went where very few people had gone, but,, unlike his fellow travelers, he came back and was able to tell everyone where he had been and had seen. And most of all, what he had understood.. But the picky neurotic pedantic professor in me cannot let him get away with this error: at 12:00 he says the famous verse "life is a tale full of sound and fury...." from Hamlet. Sorry, no, it is from Macbeth.

my favorite aspect of Mckenna is his ability to dismantle general systemic ideologies... without a worry or tear in doing. The way he illumunated Sciences root... by showing its discovery by an Angel... is top level dismantlement of an entire movement... Besides good psychedelics, fasting for longer periods of time is the greatest boundary dissolving practice available to humanity. For gaining the highest levels awareness and clarity at a consistent level, one that does not disappear after the trip is over, purifying the human body and taking on a regular practice of fasting will do that in ways that psychedelics cannot touch. But of course, psychedelics will always have their special place and purpose.

I read The Perennial Philosophy by Aldous Huxley back in the 70's. One of those rare books that just aren't written with it's accessibility & master of language much these days. I love Terence's fascination & use of language too. However even Crowley's incredible mastery of language just isn't accessible to the people with general western language education these days. People would be looking up at least 1 or 2 words in a fairly short sentence in Moonchild or Diary Of A Drug Fiend. Let alone his esoteric books. Spells come from the root of to spell or write.

The only way I can tell any dialogue is devine or not mine is if I asked a question for which I never knew the answer pre research endeavours. Otherwise since I'm answering myself in my own head in my own voice and answering with results I never knew in detail makes me feel crazy lol. I think I've held entire conversations in my head as I work outside to societal questioning or questions about my inner core beliefs. I've acknowledged that's not me in my head but I enjoy the dialogue. I also enjoy any dream interactions as I can remember all my dreams in profound detail as well as conversations in sleep state. I love that about the dream state.

A prophet of ages. Had the experience of his presence at a lecture in London in the early 90s. Was blown away at 19 . He then came to after party at the Brain Club. And we all danced the dance. Also witnessed Terence at Canterbury university with Shaman. I'm pretty sure he was dancing on stage but don't hold me to that.?? " i was on the 6 grams of the heroic dose.. Great fun had

PS I know exactly what Terrence is talking about in the not so hallucinogenic mainstream of shamanic mainstream Shamans of Peru that aren't ionto the full experience My father is a PHD Anthropology who's lived in Peru most of the time since 1963 & some of the things he's said asking what listening to music would be like on 'deadrope' (the Peruvian native name of Ayahuasca or the vine really but is meant as the vine & plant) have made me wonder has he not had the full experience? To me on a full blown trip the last thing you need is sensory distraction from the full experience. That's why Dr Lilly invented the Isolation tank for taking LSD in. It vastly increases the experience.

Ik this is random af but..as Ive been listening, I've been like scratching the inside of my ear for a few minutes and it remind me of this phenomenon that I felt before where like when you mess with your inner ear on one side for long enough you will start to feel a sensation in your opposite ear. Like that's kind of fascinating and I wonder what's going on.

Santa Claus and the concept of the eight, is clearly elucidated in I-Hexagram # 47 which is the decan correlate for Dec 21 - 31. The descriptor is very clear, (Legge Trans) and the following decan #48 spells out the reason for the association with 8. The first 20 hexagrams are the twenty days, and 21 - 56 are the 36 decans. I do have a video, Finding the Real Santa Claus, where I show this along with the correlates from other cultures, in particular the striking image from the Hindu for that decan. Terrence had the right idea about the importance of the decans,...but he did not have the availability and access that we have now. All cultures had the information, and they correlate instantaneously. The 20 days are the premier time keeping wisdom on the earth. All cultures had and have this as well.

He was admittedly employed as public relations by US military intelligence. Much like his brother. Joe Rogan has replaced him in that position, that's why they call Rogan "cyber shaman".

"what is it like to be.." is the black box question to discern whether it is AI or a human being as Bernardo Kastrup further explains. If Terrence had had a chance with Bernardo then imho Terrence would have went clean...
