This for me is one of Terence's most powerful points. Truly shows his capability of of thinking differently and "pushing the envelope" of what can be communicated. In these crazy times I find myself asking exactly "WHAT IS TO BE DONE?", there is a sense of urgency and mass confusion in society... These talking points have never been more relevant, and then it is important to ask ourselves again "what is going on?" would love to know which talk this is from, thanks for keeping these pearls of wisdom alive

Terence McKenna was & still is in my world an amazing human. His brother, Dennis McKenna, playing a big part in the formations of his insights. His brilliant thoughts, pontifications, premonitions, predictions & philosophies should be listen to & taught through all of highschool. THO I have to say, it really bums me out when people make money off of wisdom & knowledge that, #1 should be offered freely for the betterment of the human population. #2 wasn't yours to sell. In 1989 I had mushrooms and they showed me the state of the world as it relates to fossil fuels, construction, and the destruction of nature. I since spent my life studying the effects of CO2 on the atmosphere and spreading the knowledge of how severe it will become. I learned the science then have watched it happening. It’s been quite a ride and I pray that people will see it and change.

The word ego in my experience has many different connotations in my existence. The word ego being as ones personality to create would be a thought. I sometimes think that Terrance was trying to amalgamate the spiritual and philosophical with the practical and real. That somehow psychedelics would, by their very nature, bring about change. My ability to see through the mask has little to do with my ability to pay rent. The most powerful people aren't taking mushrooms to expand their mind, they take them for inspiration to further their greed. There is nothing wrong with having a spiritual life and a physical life and accepting that they aren't fully compatible. He even eludes to the time frame, something like 15k years ago we already had begun the process of splitting the magical from the mundane. Now they cannot be mashed together like so much clay. They are oil and water, occasionally emulsified but generally entirely onto themselves.
