Joe has lost his job, his home, his friends and now his wife and is probably scared to loose his kids too. I get it, how he doesn't understand how he looses everything, when there are people doing the same crime everyday and don't get any punishments at all, 'cause they are powerful. He did his crime, he did his time and now he's deported. Of course, he could have seen this coming, but I guess it hits someone way much harder, if reality kicks in. Teresa had her own part in all of the wrongdoing, too. Unlike Joe, she's american, that's why she's not with him in Italy. So putting that in perspective and thinking about that some papers could have such an impact on your life (especially living after your whole life in the states), i get Joes "Everything just sucks, everyone's leaving me and you know what, i don't wanna care" attitude.

I'm going through this, I did everything for my guy. Followed him all over Canada for his work and now I'm here watching his grandson and he's on the road talking to his ex wife everyday.
