For today's recipe I am making a simple & easy recipe yet so amazing & super delicious Teriyaki Tofu, with my homemade simple & easy teriyaki glaze.

How to make Easy Teriyaki Glaze

INGREDIENTS:
Teriyaki Glaze
4 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp Agave Syrup (or any sweetener)
2 tsp Apple Cider vinegar (or regular vinegar)
1/2 tsp Cornstarch & 1 tbsp Water ( Cornstarch Slurry)
1 piece Garlic
1 small piece Ginger
1 tsp Sesame Oil
Teriyaki Tofu
300 grams Firm Tofu
Cornstarch for coating
About 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
Ginger
2 cloves pressed garlic
1 tsp Vegan butter
Teriyaki glaze
2 tsp Sambal Chili paste (Optional)
1 stalk Spring Onion
DIRECTIONS:
Teriyaki Sauce
In a bowl combine soy sauce, agave syrup & vinegar.
In a separate bowl prepare the cornstarch slurry
Heat a teaspoon of Sesame oil in a pan. Sauté ginger & garlic.
Add the teriyaki mixture & cornstarch slurry.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes on medium to low heat until the sauce thickens.
Once the sauce cools down, it gets even thicker.
Teriyaki Tofu
Heat Oil in a pan & fry tofu
Once the tofu is fried, sauté ginger & garlic
Add Vegan butter & the teriyaki glaze
For extra spicy flavor, you may add in chili paste.
Then add in the fried tofu , and chopped green onions
Enjoy.
