A father who lost his arm in an accident six years ago has been given a new lease of life by a hi-tech bionic hand which is so precise he can type again. Nigel Ackland, 53, has been fitted with the Terminator-like carbon fibre mechanical hand which he can control with movements in his upper arm. The new bebionic3 myoelectric hand, which is also made from aluminium and alloy knuckles, moves like a real human limb by responding to Nigel's muscle twitches. Incredibly, the robotic arm is so sensitive it means the father-of-one can touch type on a computer keyboard, peel vegetables, and even dress himself for the first time in six years.

Right now it's probably too slow and sloppy but imagine in 10 or 20 years you might be able to download custom made software to calibrate something like this for many things including aiming. im working on my own prosthetic that moves and can do any and everything a real arm can do the reason why is because I lost my arm to a bullshark and I have a prosthetic like the one in this video but its limited I can play video games on my playstation anymore and not every videogame is on pc this prosthetic arm will be controlled by your mind how that's gonna happen I don't know yet but it will allow to play video games on my playstation again and it will move like a real arm sure its wont feel anything but its still gonna be cool and its not gonna look like the prosthetic in this video its gonna look like a terminator t-850 arm but you get my point by the way im 14 and im on my moms account

And in 2019 the most advanced arm was reportedly given to a woman. She had her arm cut off for some reason, in which I canon remember. She lost her arm recently though and since she still had a phantom pain, which the engineers of the arm said that it helps them. So she had surgery to make her arm better but it didnt seem worth it cause shortly after the surgery the robotic prosthetics company gave her surgery to fir the arm on. The robotic arm used external and internal sensors to make it fast and used the certain muscle movement or density to determine its pressure. She used the arm and it adapted and learned to become tailored to her. I don't know if she got to keep it but I do know when it was finally tailored it was outstanding to look at in action and brought her to tears when she could fully function again especially with no lag or issue. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for 2020!!!
